Went to the Baybrook location in Webster, TX today February 26, 2019. Had the rudest Hispanic staff. My girl and I ordered speaking in English. The lady that prepared our salads was very skimpy on the portions, and had quite a bit of attitude the whole time when choosing the add ons. I decided to hold my tongue, this time. As we were checking out, my girl who speaks Spanish ask the cashier who is also the general manager, if the salads come with the bread, as the GM and the lady preparing the salads spoke Spanish amongst each other, prepper told the general manager in Spanish (again my girl can understand and speak Spanish) that she didn't offer us bread or anything extra because we spoke in English. After my girl had asked for our bread, because it wasn't offered. Due to the poor customer service I did not tip anything on the check. I specifically asked for a copy of the receipt. The general manager intentionally did not give me the copy after saying it was in the bag. As I was driving through the parking lot, my girl noticed it wasn't in the bag so I went back, and she acted like she couldn't find the order for several minutes even though we had just left there. I then confronted her about the comment that the girl had made about us speaking in English and she proceeded to claim she was joking with my girl, even after the fact of them not giving us bread until after she had asked for it. I've given a lot of business to this restaurant between her and I, and I will NEVER go back to a place that doesn't have common respect for people. This was my second time coming to this location and as soon as my husband and I came in we were treated with urgency as she had about three salads she was prepping for to go orders, as placing labels when we walked in. Person attending to us asked if we were both getting everything exact on both of our salads we said no as she wanted to speed things up, in which I don't have an issue with her asking , but it was the manners. As she started making my salad I told her if you could add spinach in which she did, but to my liking I wanted a bit more therefore I asked her to add more spinach and you know what she did she added TWO pieces only. I really thought that was an insult so I kindly asked one more time if she could add a little more spinach and her response was " let me go ahead and add all the other sides that you want and if there is room on your bowl I will add it at the end" ! I once again asked her for the third time very nicely if she could add more spinach in which she FINALLY did, but she added it with such an attitude that even my husband said he has never had this type of experience at any Salata location. Read moreI am very dissatisfied with the service. There was low energy, no motivation to welcome us to a restaurant we have never been to. We were not sure how the line worked, mentioned it was our first time there, & all we got was a finger pointing to the signage. One of the employees discouraged us from dining in!! Reason was that it was 30 minutes to close. All the while, other customers were dining in. Not to mention there is outdoor seating. Since we were already committed to getting the food and it was prepped, we brushed it off. We arrived home and as we’re enjoying our meal my boyfriend stops abruptly only to pull out a broken, jagged edged metal rod that was in his chicken!!! HUGE CARELESS OVERSIGHT not to mention UNSAFE!! UNACCEPTABLE!! Please look at your food and chew really well. Swallowing something sharp like that can cause serious harm, including perforated bowel and even death! I have emailed and left a voicemail to document the timeline Incase he actually swallowed anything that may cause medical issues down the road. Sorry Salata this is matter of public safety...
