Shawarma House is a fantastic addition to the Galleria area! It took over the location where House of Kabobs used to be, and the transformation is incredible. We hadn’t visited the old spot in years for various reasons, but when we saw Shawarma House open, we decided to give it a try—and it did not disappoint.
The restaurant has been completely remodeled from front to back, with a brand-new kitchen, new staff, and an incredibly clean atmosphere. The menu is huge, offering a wide variety of delicious options. My go-to is the chicken kebab with rice, salad, and hummus. The portions are generous—definitely enough to leave you feeling full and ready for a nap!
I’ve been here with friends multiple times, and everyone always finds something they enjoy, whether it’s shawarmas, sandwiches, or other Mediterranean favorites. The food is consistently fresh and flavorful. The parking lot is small, but I’ve never had an issue finding a spot. There’s additional parking in the back if needed, but I prefer parking up front by the shop.
The shopping center itself has also been revamped, giving the whole area a much cleaner and more inviting feel compared to the days of the old restaurant. Price-wise, it’s slightly above the average lunch in the area, around $20 instead of $10-15, but the quality and portion sizes more than justify the price. It’s not an everyday spot for us, but it’s a treat we look forward to.
In a neighborhood packed with Mediterranean options, Shawarma House truly stands out. The combination of amazing food, fair pricing, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it one of our favorite spots in the Galleria....
Read moreI used to go there when it was kabob house and I loved it. They sold the business and it’s shawarma house now , well I went there today and ordered lamb kabob, 5 small pieces, ( as big as the size of a quarter ) and felt a funny smell but then when I sat down to eat it was like bad smell and then I kept chewing and my jaw started hurting then I realized that it wasn’t cooked all the way, and they just gave me the lamb which was 40% cooked as I felt that crunch sound in the meat. Absolutely disgusting and not worth it. I spent $21 for the food and then he charged me $3 for 2 garlic and one hot sauce 2 oz containers, which I paid in cash as it doesn’t come with any sauce, good way to make and rip off the customer. All the others restaurants always gives sauce. I think they will start giving some sauce after reading this .Hummus tasted like chalk, rice was hard , also the pita bread was hard and smelled like a stale bread. Not going there, absolutely worse Mediterranean food I ever had. Even the truck food is better. Fadis next door is the best option, at least they have consistency and good quality and fresh food. I was really mad at myself as I was going to fadis and instead I chose to go to this restaurant. Watch out for the money you...
Read moreI had the pleasure of visiting Shawarma House a couple of months ago, thanks to a friend's recommendation, and I haven't stopped coming back since! This place truly serves the best shawarma I've ever had.
From the moment you step inside, the tantalizing aroma draws you in. The menu offers a delightful selection of shawarmas, each bursting with flavor. The meat is perfectly seasoned, tender, and cooked to perfection—there's no skimping on quality here! I personally love the chicken shawarma, which is juicy and well-spiced, wrapped in warm, fluffy pita.
The staff is friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. Whether I dine in or take out, I’m always served with a smile, and the service is quick and efficient.
Additionally, the side dishes are worth mentioning; the garlic sauce and tahini are a must-try! They complement the shawarma perfectly and elevate the whole meal.
If you’re craving authentic and delicious shawarma, Shawarma House is the place to be. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves great food. Trust me, you...
