I mean, what can you say about TacoBell that you can’t say about a good gourmet restaurant?
That would be the price is right! Come on down! You’ve got a 7 layer buritoooooo! Let’s play Who Wants a Brand New Cinnabun Iced Coffee?! (Que the price is right theme music). They are delicious. I highly recommend this drink. It tastes great, although I could have used a little less ice and a little more coffee. I’m assuming it was already cold and premixed as it was made right at the window. I could be wrong based on how tasty this drink was, but it was a “Im gonna order that again” sort of item.
Speaking of TacoBell items. Let’s talk about what needs to make a come back:
First, Let’s talk about the delicious Large Nachos they used to make back in the late 90’s. Meat, beans, tomato’s, onion, sour cream, some sort of green something (avocado?), was in there with a lovely nacho cheese sauce. Man, these were on my top 5 best TacoBell items of all time. It had an award and everything. Now? Tasteless chips with a half or quarter of a tiny container full of a wanna be squirt of nacho cheese. And the cheese isn’t the same. Wah
We need the Enchirito! It was delicious. And saucy. And had nice flavor all up in your mouth and made your tummy smile! And saucy. And saucy. Saucy sauce.
The awesome tasting Mexi-Melt. Deliciousness I didn’t discover until my late teens. It was like watching the dancers on the 90’s Mtv dance show called “The Grind.” Workin’ out the newest dance moves while looking all good and staring directly in the camera and smiling. Even though thebdirectorr told them not to. Good looking’, body movin’, party rockin’ rebels staring straight at that camera. Only the camera is my mouth. Yum. Salty.
This location seems to be in line with almost every other TacoBell I’ve been to through out my life. Colorfully painted, quick drive thru, fast payment process, quick food delivery, no mistakes with my order.
Half the time the people you interact with are really nice and friendly. This was one of those times. The other times they fall into one of the following categories as determined by no one but me: (ahem)
The “don’t test me kinda day” employee category The “I wish you would kinda day” employee category 3 The “IDC or GA f kinda day” employee category The “I like to partake of the earths herby natural herbs and don’t know what your saying kinda day” employee category And finally, the basic “I’m extra salty all the time just because I like salt” employee category this is due to their because high sodium personality to begin with.
The basic “I’m extra salty all the time just because I like salt” category employee with a high sodium intake should look to a low sodium diet. For their health. And ours. And humanities. High sodium can lead to a lot of health issues. Maybe the “salty employees” should reach out to the “herby earths natural herbs and don’t know what your saying employees” and learn a thing or two about what Mother Earth provides to help detoxify the mind, body, and spirit. Only in states where these natural supplements are regulated of course. Efficacy, legality...

If the staff doesn't understand maybe some random person who eventually reads this will.
I order a 3 taco meal with a water cup. I'm handed a water bottle. I say "oh, I wanted a cup of water, not to be charged for a bottle". Drive thru says it would have been the same price, so I take the bottle with me, park and glance at the receipt.
Context: water cups in fast food are usually free/reduced and they typically adjust the price of meals to reflect that.
Pricing before tax 3 tacos at would be= $5.36 Price of my 3 taco meal.. $7.59
No big deal. I walk inside... ask if water cups are free. Cashier confirms yes. I politely point out the mixup, and asked, if I give back the bottle I was upcharged for, if I just get another taco instead?
The girl looks at me like I have 4 eyes and states that 1 taco alone is 1.79 and the meal includes 3 tacos. Also that the meal includes the drink for "free" so I would have been charged the same price wither way... which didn't make sense... but I digress.
I try to explain again politely. So she walks to to discuss with her co-workers confused.
Genuinely I didn't even want to this this to be much of an ordeal. My goal was to go in, exchange the drink I didn't want to be charged for, for a taco insead and walk out.
Granted, it was only a couple dollars... but I was already too deep in at this point. I had to try one last time to get my point across.
At this point I really just wanted wanted the basic math to click in their head so I wouldn't walk out the restaurant looking like I was the one not making sense.
I didn't accomplish that goal. When I finally conceded after another 30 seconds or so. She just turned away and silently walked away from the counter as if I had just spent 2 minutes trying to convince her the earth was flat.
I exited the restaurant with a walk of shame.. taco-less. Mission failed.
Now, I'm not saying they have to to be able to do exact calculations inside their head. But even without a calculator I would still expect a cashier to come to the conclusion that 1.79(Price per taco) times 3 probably doesn't quite equal 7.59(pre-tax prices).
Maybe the random person that reads all of this 5 years from now will...

Based on the name on the receipt, Jeremy G was so refreshing for my customer service experience. Very friendly greeting at the menu, repeated my order, and wished me a safe night upon leaving. Seriously so rare to see such a sweet soul serving at any fast food.
I asked for no tomato and my order was incorrect so I went back through the drive through. This normally happens almost every time I order something without tomato at any given location, so I don't sweat it.
He was more than accommodating, checking if I needed extra sauce and wanted to compensate me with a free treat. I politely refused, so he gave me a coupon for my next visit.
The food was not only made correctly- but with care, and was extra delicious!!! Jeremy truly blessed my night by having the courage to be still be kind despite most fast food workers not caring at all.
Now I will come out of the way just to make sure I get excellent service and a correct order with delicious food. I assume they are paying Jeremy well, none the less - give em' all the raises!!! Gave me faith in fast food customer...
