Oh this place is a joke for a Thai restaurant. We paid upwards of $70 for takeout for this RIDICULOUS sized portion of food. If I’m paying that much, there better be that moneys amount worth of food in my to go box. The volcano beef was maybe 1/16th of the takeout box. And you can’t substitute white rice? The pad thai was soggy because they used the tiniest, stringiest noodles ever. The fate of this place is more doomed than the last Thai restaurant standing in that house.
Here’s a list of reasonable and reputable Thai places in the city that won’t RIP YOU OFF with pricing: Chalong, Rim Tanon, Kin Dee. All better tasting, better quality, better service, and BETTER PRICES!
Couldn’t even make a profit to break even with dishes like this.
My response to the owners: YOU ARE A JOKE. Own that. Multiple customers have reported the disgustingly small portion sizes. High quality steak? Tastes like a nasty new york strip from the discount section in Walmart, rough, tough, inedible. And certainly doesn’t constitute only serving 15 pieces of this in a soggy bowl. We only removed bean sprouts - so what you’re telling us is bean sprouts were going to take 3/4 of the box and that’s what makes this meal worth $17? Get a grip. Your food is gross and inedible. Stop passing it...
Read moreMy wife, my kids, and I had late lunch at Ar-Haan Thai restaurant and it was truly phenomenal. I have eaten at every single Thai restaurant in Houston and this restaurant stands out with the quality of food and service. They deserve more than 5 stars. It is truly high standard and I know that by the high quality of meats they serve. We started out with Edamame, Chicken Satay, and Soft Spring Roll with chicken. For main course we had their most popular dish “Panang Chicken” added broccoli to it, and Volcano Beef. We also requested sides of crushed Thai peppers and peppers in oil because we love spicy food. Let me summarize it for you. The food is absolutely out of this world and we will definitely give this restaurant a weekly visit as much as we loved the food and we’re so impressed with the taste and quality. Don’t miss out. I promise you once you try it you will be hooked. The only issue with this restaurant it has no sign and if you don’t follow Google map carefully you will miss the building. It looks like a house and I am not sure why they still don’t have a sign especially they’ve been in business for over seven months. Now that is beyond my...
Read moreWent for Mother’s Day. The food is good. We had soup, multiple appetizers and three dishes. Sat in a room for parties over four that has a small table and bad seating, so it’s difficult to eat when multiple plates arrive. But what made the meal forgettable was the horrible attitude of the male server.
First, of all he didn’t bring out the silverware, so we had to ask for that. Then when, they took various plates in intermittent moments, they took partial place settings, so we would have to ask for more. So when we made our last request, for whatever reason, he acted like the irritated spouse of someone, who was at the grocery store and kept having to get out of the checkout line because he was being called to get one more item. Telling us, not asking if we had all our requests in, so he didn’t have to go back and forth. Really! At this point, there was not a single party in the restaurant. So he was just being an ass. I didn’t even want to get my blood pressure up, so didn’t even bother to ask to speak to the owner or manager. Just won’t go back....
