Tacos LA Creación (Food Truck) — Restaurant in Houston

My friend Ricardo and I always get some tacos, burritos and/or quesadillas from this place after a long bike ride in the Third Ward or from Midtown to Downtown. Like any other taco trucks, the price and food is on point and they make it quick. But it doesn't hurt to call them ahead for them to make somewhat of a big order so by the time we get there on bike, it will be ready for us.

Also like many taco trucks, cash is very important when it comes to paying for the food. Now Taqueria La Creacion may be in a slightly sketchy area with homeless tent town near it and it's on a small road off of Almeda Road, you can simply park anywhere and get your food. I have pretty much tried every meat except the chicken and they are all spot on for the taste. The hot sauce they provide is also pretty spicy but not too spicy for eaters who can handle a little bit of heat.

So if you are in the area say at certain brewery or a beer garden but tired of the food that they have there on site, it is definitely worth the drive or the walk to Taqueria La Creacion and get yourself some street tacos to crave...

I had to pleasure of trying this delicious taco truck today. Just moved to Museum District/ Hermann Park area and was looking for a good taco truck nearby. It was less than 10 minute drive and well worth it. I ordered some al pastor tacos and barbacoa tacos on corn tortillas (LOL so basically street tacos). The tacos arrived fresh and fast, and the tacos were only $2 each (about the standard taco truck prices for street tacos in Houston) and the owner even included a free cup of beans on the side, and some really tasty spicy red salsa and a solid flavorful mild green salsa for my tacos, too. I go here often. Officially the most affordable taco truck in Houston. Breakfast burritos only $5. With amazing green salsa. All of their meats are marinated very well except the chicken. The chicken option is really plain with no seasoning. So I tend to get the fajita beef and Barbacoa. But if you don’t like More plane shredded chicken you should get your chicken from there.
