How I wish I could give this restaurant a better review! I am so grateful for the fact that they are serving tasty vegan food in Houston. That said, you take a risk eating here that you will either be served something great or you may be throwing away your money on inconsistent food. The place is not clean (everything feels sticky and unwashed, including the bamboo serving plates), and the service can be rude at best.

Last night at 6 PM I stopped to have supper. I feared that the place might have closed because I was the only car in the parking lot, and then the only customer in the shop. But several tables still had crumbs and food, and appeared not to have been wiped down in a while.

The young gentleman at the counter was not particularly helpful when I asked him to guide me to the items that would be sugar free. He really did not know what the ingredients were in the food, and there was no manager to ask about it. He also and did not inspire confidence when he coughed into his hand.

I usually order the rockin tacos, so I decided to order the tigerbowl (vegetable noodles in almond sauce) for a change, since I was in the mood for micro greens.

When the food was served, there were no micro greens on the plate, and the noodles were heavily doused in an overly sweet sauce that made this otherwise lovely dish inedible. I asked the server if the sauce had sweetener, and he said that he did not know. I asked him to ask the cook about the ingredients of the sauce, and the cook (speaking only from behind the curtain) said that he did not know what the ingredients were. I explained that I had asked for a dish without sweetener, and that I could not eat the noodles.

I asked the server for something else, and he said that I would have to pay again, even though I had not found the noodles edible.

I said that I did not feel that I should have to pay for an alternative dish, since the noodles were not as represented, and the sauce much too sweet.

The server became rude, when I said that I would write to the manager, and he grabbed my food with his hands, and threw it in the trash.

I have recommended many people to this place, but I am afraid that I do not feel comfortable doing so any more. I am afraid that based on last night's experience, the place has...

This is my absolute favorite resturaunt🎉🎉🎉!!! (Well, tied with Maraharja Bhogg.)

Too bad they're not open on Sundays!!! But, everybody needs rest. Prices are pretty good especially for the value. Sometimes service is a little slow, but they are making your food fresh to order, so.... I love almost everything on the menu. When I knew my work week was going to be hectic, I'd just order several items for the week to go also. Makes life simple and healthy. The Tosh is best eaten the next day, since it's had more time to marinate. I don't eat seafood so No to the Nori Rolls for me and no PB&B either. Too dry.

Everything else is the bomb- including salads. You have multiple options for your meals: brown rice wraps (I wish they'd tell where they get theirs from, as store brands even Trader Joe's, aren't as good and expire quickly), collard wrap (raw, green, fresh and is my fave), or whatever bread is standard (whole grain panini or bun). 🙌

If the cheesecake is available- grab two! No telling when the desert lady will make it again!! Blonde Brownie- oh yeah!! I don't care for their regular brownies or cupcakes. Too heavy for me. But pretty standard veganly made.

Check the dry erase mini liquid chalkboard for SPECIALS such as: Pumpkin chili- ummmmmmmm!!! A different taste but wonderful.

Juice cleanse- need lots of soft tp and this coming from a big vegge and fruit eater!!! I've done it 3 times. Get ready for this to help: brighten your skin, shine your hair, and clear your skin, guts, and allergies!! After just one day my colleagues were asking me about what I was doing differently. There were 3 of us with horrible sinus/allergy issues. Were!! The juicing helped clear that up so much so, I bought a juicer from the Pawn shop to keep it going. It helped clear up the Eczema too!

Eating this way helped lose weight too!

I recently moved from Houston and miss them...

I had an incredible experience dining at Green Seed Vegan! This restaurant truly stands out when it comes to offering a diverse range of vegan and gluten-free options. From the moment I stepped in, I knew I was in for a treat.

Green Seed Vegan's commitment to transparency is remarkable. Their menu provides thorough information about each dish, including allergens and dietary specifications. As a vegan with gluten intolerance, I greatly appreciated this level of clarity, which made ordering a breeze.

The variety of vegan and gluten-free choices at Green Seed Vegan is outstanding. They go above and beyond to create mouthwatering plant-based burgers, flavorful grain bowls, and innovative salads that cater to all taste preferences. I was impressed by the quality and creativity put into each dish.

What sets Green Seed Vegan apart is their friendly and knowledgeable staff. They were genuinely interested in helping me navigate the menu, provided insightful recommendations, and made my dining experience memorable. Their passion for vegan cuisine shines through every interaction.

The restaurant itself has a welcoming and eco-friendly ambiance. I admired their commitment to sustainability and locally sourced ingredients. Green Seed Vegan's dedication to both their customers and the environment is commendable.

Whether you're a dedicated vegan, have specific dietary restrictions, or simply want to explore plant-based cuisine, I highly recommend Green Seed Vegan. Prepare to be amazed by their transparent menu, extensive vegan and gluten-free options, and the exceptional friendliness of their staff.

Overall, Green Seed Vegan is a fantastic establishment that deserves all the praise. It's an absolute gem for those seeking delicious and conscientious dining experiences. Don't miss out on this...

Mixed feelings about this place. Overall, I love the concept and think the menu is pretty expansive. It demonstrates just how much you can do with a vegetarian/vegan diet. I especially love that it’s taking off in a place where vegetarian/vegan is not necessarily hip - Houston (or really Texas in general). I got the latini sandwich, which was okay to good. Definitely super filling which was amazing, and I think the bread was absolutely on point. Excellent balance of crunch and soft while also spiced to perfection. However, I just wasn’t wowed by the flavors in the sandwich. Possibly the chipotle aioli that threw me off. Can’t speak to the rest of their menu, but their fries look delicious and would definitely be something I’d want to try next time. As far as price goes, a bit expensive to me, especially when you consider all items/sides are add ons and will cost extra. Other side note is everything is made to order and seems to be a relatively small working kitchen, so will take a little bit of time. Call ahead for to go or consider a sit down restaurant meal. I would definitely be willing to try again, however think I’d try a different menu item. #greenseedvegan #vegan #vegetarian #houston #htown #htx
