This was a new to us park for our family with young ish kids, and it was great! We were drawn to come after hearing about how it has the coolest trees in Houston, but having an extensive playground plus a lot of open play area and a lot of shade made it even better. My kids love the idea of climbing trees, but it’s usually not very accessible or not allowed. These old, strong trees made for a really fun time of exploring and climbing trees. I’m glad my kids got to experience this quintessential childhood activity, and we’ll for sure be back again.

Such a cool place . Kids loved climbing on all the low limb large trees . Playground was nice with large seesaw and swings for infants and big kids . Parking wasn’t difficult if you circle around a bit Walking path surrounding the entire park so it’s easy to push a stroller or wheelchair . Very shaded . Benched available . Great change from your usually park setting since the trees seemed to be more fun than the climbing equipment

I love walking, jogging and playing at this park. It is small, yet spacious. There is often a good number of people around so I never feel isolated. There are a bunch of dogs and their owners who frequent this park. The workout spaces are sturdy, park area is clean and you can even meet others here as everyone is typically friendly. Serves all my needs as a neighborhood park and more, with weekend yoga and farmers’ markets (pre-covid)!

The city of Houston owned Baldwin Park is currently undergoing a major renovation paid for by the Midtown Redevelopment Authority. Extensive renovations include $400k of additional lighting, upgrading the 7 ft wide walking paths, and TLC for the old oaks. The Midtown Management District is installing new playground equipment for use by children aged 6-12 years. The new look modern equipment with an urban slant to it allows children the opportunity to use their imagination in a free play atmosphere. The park is slated for completion in the fall of 2013. Look for the 8th Annual Midtown Art in the Park to return to Baldwin Park on Saturday, April 12, 2014 with...

Truly a peaceful place that I love to sit and read at and sing to God and Jesus my lord and Savior. Outlets to charge phones laptops etc. Plenty of trees for shade. A swing set to swing on so you can feel like a bird that's flying. It is my happy place feeling like I am flying through the air. I feel closest to God when I swing on the swings. So I truly love and appreciate this park. God bless all who relax dwell or picnic here. In Jesus mighty name I pray...
