Taqueria Casa Mexicana — Restaurant in Houston

My husband and I went here for the first time sometime ago and we enjoyed it so much, we brought our parents this time. The first time we went, I spoke in Spanish. Prices were reasonable. Chips and salsa were free. Meat portions were generous.

For this visit, I didn't feel like talking because I was sick. So, since we my family was now speaking in my place and they spoke in English, we got charged $1 for EACH glass of TAP water, got charged for chips and salsa, and the meat portions were no longer as generous. The prices on the receipt didn't match the menu either (every single item we ordered was $1 more expensive than what was on the menu). When my MIL went to challenge the prices, the cashier who didn't know my MIL understands Spanish was talking to a man who told her that they're charging us for tap water and deceived us on the menu pricing because the ice machine broke and they want to recoup the costs. So we paid way more than anticipated and the only difference is this time around, we spoke in English.

I hope this business tanks. I understand the state of affairs in the US is a hot mess right now but don't take it out on people who speak English who just want...

The food is good and generous portions, more than expected for the low prices. Restaurant is located in the middle of the strip center. The interior is very clean and the waitress was very friendly and attentive.

The ambiance and decor is very humble reflecting the simplicity of this restaurant. However it did feel a little stuffy inside, like if they rely on fans to keep the inside cool, instead of a/c. Each taco is $1.99 and are the regular size tortillas, they are not cheap with the meat. The chicken breast plate was $9.99. The food tasted fresh and was brought out hot. To drink they have aguas de limon, horchata, jamaica, bottled soft drinks, Gatorade, and beer.

If the recopy the only one with the taste and a clean energy drink with a streak on the grill the taste and texture is to feel guilty after you finish with beatified dishware called a master flavor of all restaurants around great environment committee to satisfy your heart full of great music and service was excellent job thank you I definitely recommend it to the other team members to satisfy your disire in a great Mothers Day...
