This Taqueria Arandas is subpar in comparison with their other locations. This one is five minutes away and I still typically drive fifteen to the Shepherd location. The food at your typical TA is very reasonably priced and... you get what you pay for. Typically, I have no reservations about low quality food for low prices. But there’s a reason I avoid this place. As I sit here I am reminded why. Dining here is infuriating. It took me twenty minutes to get my first beer. Another twenty five to get my second. The food is subpar in quantity and quality to other locations. Bad? Nah. But every time I visit here I feel like I should have saved the headache and went to McDonald’s. I ordered the same plate yesterday at the other location and today it’s unrecognizable, half the size, and the tortillas arent even fully cooked. (Not surprising, I’ve learned my lesson and still come back).
A large amount of the waitstaff is incredibly dishonest and will slip things in on your check if you don’t pay attention. This happens probably more often than not if you don’t speak Spanish. A lot of times it’s onky a dollar or two or three. Sometimes it’s way more (for instance, if you’re dining with a couple people, and one orders a regular burrito, they’ll charge you for the $12 “California” instead of the $7 thing you ordered). If you speak English and come to this place (and honestly, many/most restaurants where English isn’t the norm) look at your tab before you pay.
I love Mexican food, and Taqueria Arandas, this location is just awful. There’s a couple Mexican restaurants down the street I need to try, because every time I come here i just leave annoyed and frustrated- to the point I feel I have to leave an online review.

Read moreI wish they would just serve tomatillo salsa. The other type of salsa they serve is not good ☹️. I want to always tell them I want to always throw it. Thier first option should be to serve tomatillo salsa since it taste better and the others salsa's don't. But, they don't. And if you request it with an order to go. They say they don't have it but if you want it. It will cost between $3 & $5 depending on the size. Oh and if the cashier lady doesn't fill like telling you the sizes and prices she will say $5 and that's it. I'm giving 1 🌟 only because I have to deal with this every time I go. If I stop going here. They will only miss out on a few thousand dollars a year in revenue. But, I figure I give them heads up and that there is a lot of us Mexican descendants that actually love good quality tomatillo salsa and not that mediocre salsa that they want to serve us customers. First impression of a Mexican food business is their salsa. I expect higher standards especially because the owner is...
Read moreAlways great!!! 💕 I love this place. I might as well tell ya why besides the food and service. The reason I love Taqueria Arandas so much is because my father use to buy tacos from Mr Arandas wayyyy before the 1st Arandas restaurant on Airline was established. He use to come around where my father worked during breakfast and lunch time selling tacos out of an ice chest. For me this is the real definition of the American dream come true, though hard work and sacrifice you can achieve all your dreams no matter who you are and where you from. The real Dreams!!!! And then when his daughter got involved, she really blew it up and made Arandas what it is now. Keep up the good work. I truly admire people who work hard to make their dreams come true. This is my go to spot for chilaquiles Verdes and coffee on a sunday morning. 💓😇🙏😋 Que diosito los Siga bendiciendo en todo!...
