I wanted to take a moment to share my feedback regarding our recent dining experience, which, unfortunately, did not live up to the high standards we've come to expect from your restaurant.
My boyfriend and I have always considered Marigold one of our favorite spots, and we’ve consistently enjoyed excellent service and food. However, last night’s visit left us with a very different impression. We originally had a 10 PM reservation for four people and attempted to add two more to our party. When I called to request the change, the host who answered the phone was not only unhelpful but also quite rude. He insisted the restaurant was fully committed despite tables being available on OpenTable for our party size at that time. It was frustrating and felt dismissive.
Once we arrived, the manager was very kind and accommodating, offering us a round of drinks, which we appreciated. However, the rest of the evening didn’t reflect the quality service we’ve enjoyed here before. The overall service felt rushed and inattentive. The servers were almost tossing silverware and plates in front of us, which felt unprofessional. The staff member who poured our water consistently splashed it all over the table and food. Our main server was also rushing us to order and had an overly informal approach, which was a sharp contrast to the fine dining experience we’re used to here.
To make matters worse, the quality of the food was not good at all. It didn’t taste fresh, and unfortunately, all of us have woken up feeling sick and nauseous this morning. It’s incredibly disappointing, especially since we’ve always had great meals here in the past.
While I appreciate the kindness of the manager, the overall experience—service, food quality, and the way we were treated—was a huge letdown. I really hope this was just an off night, but given the contrast with our past visits, we’re...
Read moreMy husband and I went to celebrate this past weekend for career advancements and date night. The atmosphere, ambiance, food, service and staff were incredible. I have much experience in restaurants and management myself from previous careers and this place has it down. The host greeted us pleasantly and took us to our table in a room that had its own bar and service. They have multiple people working to help make the night run smooth. Our waitress, Midori, was absolutely incredible. Her menu knowledge was perfect and helped explain the dishes to us for better understanding of what we wanted to try. Her personality was also amazing. I will definitely request her next time and highly suggest anyone requesting her who wants an amazing dining experience. The plates were removed between each dish and bussed immediately for room which was nice. The entire establishment was soo clean and beautifully decorated. My husband had the Duck Wellington which was amazing and I had the Filet with Mushrooms and it was melt in your mouth good. The meat was so tender and juicy. The Marigold Salad was so unique and we both had one. We had bar snacks that consisted of different vegetables in vinegar and so tasty and had to order 2 of the sourdough bread which was amazing! Nothing like traditional sour dough bread.. More like a dinner roll..light and fluffy paired with Truffle Butter. For dessert we had The Banana Ice cream and my husband had a citrus dessert. Midori, our waitress, brought us a special cake with candle to celebrate and it meant alot they went the extra mile to make the night special and one to remember. Highly recommend for all reasons. Thank you and we will be back very soon!

Read moreI went here the first time tonight with a couple of my friends for dinner and It was not as good as it looked.
The atmosphere was great. The server was friendly and helpful. I appreciate that. But for the price point that we paid tonight, I expected an excellent fine dining experience. Sadly, the service was amateur.
When we got sat down in the back room, one thing I noticed there was no table cloth on our table. During my diner, I had to put my dirty silverware on that surface and reused them. My dirty plates never got taken out until I had to ask for new plates. It should be the basics for the waitstaff to notice and replace new plates for the customers, I would think.
One thing that was overly done was my water kept getting filled up even though I barely sipped it. I felt intrusive during our conversation because someone kept walked up and filled my water every 2 minutes.
The waitstaff kept forgetting our sauces, spoon, and things that supposed to come along with the foods.
Let’s talk about the foods. They were ok. Honestly, they were not excellent from the presentation to the tastes. Our 70+ dollars fish plate was drown in oil or butter and bland. Everything else was average compared to other fine dining restaurants we went to. It was not worth it. I am not sure if they missed the mark tonight or this is their standards.
