This place does not follow Covid guidelines and I will report them since none of the employees bothered to listen to my concern. It's a small place and should have a limit of people in the store at a given time and even one member per family limit as well, there is no way to properly social distance without enforcing a limit on patrons . I was personally sickened how the bread is openly displayed on bread trays in the limited space with no protection. It was 8pm today, Friday October 9th a woman and her three children were at the bakery. The three kids were left unsupervised with no masks or gloves and faces breathing straight into the uncovered bread, they picked at the breads and put them back. At this point I notified an employee who seemed disinterested in the whole matter, she threw a few pieces away and never informed the mother to supervise her kids. I was getting my stuff from high on the shelves, when the kids came back, opened the glass doors and begin picking bread and eating it right there! Disgusting!!! At Arandas you have to wait for the employee to load your tray for you, it may take longer but way more sanitary!! I told the cashier about what happened and she literally said nothing! I got my pan dulce but next time I will drive the extra mile for a safe Covid compliant Arandas. I am so pissed , i spent 10 bucks and threw all that virus bread away! Find a new panaderia until they can get with the program or risk your health and your families health. You have been warned, stay away or find some slimey snot on...
Read moreFood (Bread): 6/10 The pan dulce was fair in taste but lacked flavor and softness. It seems to need better quality control, as much of the bread felt hard and dry, as if it had been sitting out too long. This was especially noticeable when I tried it at home.
Additionally, nothing in the panadería was labeled, leaving customers to guess what each item was.
Staff: 5/10 The staff didn’t seem very knowledgeable about their offerings and had a hard time explaining what was what due to the lack of labeling. This was surprising to me and a bit frustrating. The girls working there didn’t come across as friendly; they made annoyed gestures when asked for help.
Atmosphere: 6/10 Overall, the experience was underwhelming. I’ll continue to drive farther to my favorite panaderías, as this one didn’t meet expectations despite the positive reviews that initially drew me in and the fact that this place was closer than my other two...
Read moreThis place has uptight employees. They act as if they are better than you. Very snobby and I don’t see where they get that from since they are in a ghetto area. The customer service is awful and they always look as if they hate their job. They don’t speak English and if you try to say hi in Spanish they just ignore you or are very cold about it. The bread on the other hand is great. Always bringing out fresh bread and they have a variety of it to choose from. They also sell piñatas, cakes, candles, and hot chocolate. It does get pretty crowded so be prepared to wait in line for a while to get rung up. They use large metal trays and tongs so you can put your bread on. Be careful while putting your bread on your tray because it gets crowded to where people are bumping into you and the doors on the shelves people forget your even near or don’t care, and tend to open them and knock...
