New location, same solid coffee — but my butt is begging for mercy. I made the trip up north to visit Tom N Toms second location, mostly fueled by coffee cravings and curiosity. The space? HUGE. I’m talking sky-high ceilings, open concept, airy vibes that give you that “ahhh” feeling—not claustrophobic, not crowded, just room to breathe and be. If coffee shops had a feng shui rating, this one would be certified chi-flowing.
They’ve got multiple seating zones, which I love—lone wolf laptop tables, bench areas for groupies, even family-sized spots. BUT—and this is a hard but(t)—those benches? Torture devices in disguise. Beautiful to look at, but the kind of wood that has your rear end filing a complaint after 45 minutes. Cushions, please. Your coffee-loving girlies need to survive more than one meeting.
I tried some new drinks I hadn’t before: ☕️ Caramel Macchiato – Too light for my sweet tooth. I like my drinks like my drama: bold, complex, and impossible to forget. This one was a little too… polite. ☕️ Horchata Latte – This one? A pleasant surprise! It’s their Wi-Fi password, so you know they’re proud of it. Hint of cinnamon (I usually don’t like cinnamon), but this one tiptoed in with grace. Cozy, creamy, and unexpectedly addictive.
Food-wise the other location doesn’t have their egg sandwiches 🥪 looks decent size and appetitive, I ate prior to my visit, but I will have to try it next time cos it looked delish on the poster.
Staff were friendly, helpful, and seemed genuinely present. No snobby barista energy, just good vibes and clear communication. Big plus!
Now they’re still in soft-launch mode, so no dine-in mugs yet—everything is in to-go cups. But ohhh honey, that lid? She’s smooth. Ergonomic. Feels like it wants to kiss your lips. Probably the best-designed lid I’ve ever sipped from (yes, I said what I said).
✨ Bonus: they’ve got a drive-thru. If you’re in a rush, that’s a game-changer.
Would I come back? Yes—but I might bring a seat cushion next time. And if the owner’s reading this: add a little softness to those benches, and you’ll turn casual sippers into daily loyalists.

Read moreI went thru the drive thru and there was only one car in front of me. I ordered a tall lemonade, a chocolate mochi donut, crispy tater tots and the egg & avocado sandwich. The menu says that if you order the egg box sandwiches it can take 10-15 minutes. I ordered and was on my way within 10 minutes.
After I paid and was given the receipt I noticed that I was charged for the donut; it was supposed to be free for the grand opening weekend. I brought it up to the employee and the manager did do a refund.
I also noticed a tip at the very bottom of the receipt. I was surprised by this as I wasn't asked about adding a tip and didn't notice on the menu a note that they add a 20% tip to all orders. I asked the employee about it and she said they add that to every order for the service provided. IMO...A tip should be up to the customer based on the service that is given or to ensure prompt service.
The food was disappointing given how much I'd heard such good reviews from others.
The tater tots are fine. They are your average frozen tater tots, not really crispy, little to no salt, with a drizzle of some type of sauce. Not worth $5 an order.
There arent a lot of drink options if you don't drink coffee. I was hoping for earl grey or chai tea latte but the o ly teas on the menu were green tea and english breakfast tea. I got the lemonade and it is a nice tart drink. Not overly sweet.
The egg and avocado sandwich is wrapped nicely, aesthetically pleasing. The avocado is placed at the top of the sandwich and not distributed throughout. So you don't get the egg / avocado bite for the entire sandwich. The sandwich is so top heavy from the avocado that the avocado fell out of the sandwich and onto my lap as I was getting ready to take a bite. The egg is substantial but it wasnt as fluffy as i expected it to be. The bread is the best part. It is slathered in butter, super yummy but it gets soggy from the moisture from the eggs.
The mochi donut was the best food item of the lot. Soft and cushiony. Just the right amount...
Read moreWe tried this place this Saturday and we were impressed by the speed, friendliness and quality.
We tried it again a today, a quiet Sunday, and I was beyond disappointed. You’d thing day by day the quality should be consistent l, especially when the second day the place is quieter. There is one girl, I assume the manager, African American, who seems to bring the entire staff’s morale down, she makes it seem like every request is a nuisance, and just an all around abysmally negative work attitude and culture - giving an air that she is above everyone.
I watched her berate an employee and then after taking my order she watched me for easily 10-15 minutes waiting at the counter after my food was delivered.
Not a single person asked me if I was waiting on anything or if something was wrong, though eye contact was met multiple times. It wasn’t until I actually had to speak up and ask where the rest of my order was that they realized they never made the remaining parts of my order (a kolache). How hard is it to ask a customer who is obviously waiting around if they are missing something or need something - that’s common service!
Now my food is cold and the (I assume manager) side eyed me and sarcastically and rudely said “sorry” and then puttered off.
After what should have been 5 minutes easily took over 20 and my food ended up being cold.
This manager needs to seriously be looked at and reconsidered or trained to be proper people leader. The other day she wasn’t working there and the staff morale was so upbeat, friendly and nice, it was an amazing atmosphere. But the same barista was there today but with the manager present, she seemed demoralized and nervous.
If you want this place to survive right now, check out your leadership there FAST as this looks like a regular concern from other 3-star and...
