The awesome homemade ice cream at Underground is so yummy… My family we have tried multiple flavors that they drop on Saturdays… Because I love the ice cream so well I get very sad if I miss the drop time because I’m busy and I don’t hear my text message from them saying g they are dropping the flavors soon and so if I don’t hear them and I miss the drop the flavors go so fast unless you’re right in that text you will miss the flavors and some I have really wanted to try so I just say a little prayer that they will be dropped at a later date.. So anyone that has wanted to get some definitely make an effort to you will not regret it!!!! There is one thing that may push people from not ordering from here though and that is the cost… the cost per point is between 11-14 dollars per pint but I will tell everyone one thing this ice cream and sorbet is 100%the cost because it is so very delicious and the cost is so well worth it so don’t let that stop you from buying g here because I can tell you that you will not regret it one bit!!!!! If you do please reach out to me because I have tried a bunch and I have loved everyone of their drops that I have tried and I have tried quite a...
Read moreI was aware of Underground Creamery for a while but had never attempted to score myself a pint. I was browsing instagram over the weekend when I saw that a new drop was happening on Saturday afternoon and I thought that 4th of July weekend may give me better odds since lots of people leave town to beat the heat. I signed up for their text reminder and logged onto hotplate when they texted me 3 minutes before the drop. I was able to snag my husband's top choice but not the other flavor he wanted to try. All things considered, I was pretty jazzed that I successfully placed an order on my first try out of the gate! We picked up our order during the 3rd window on Monday evening. The pick up at the Pudgy's cookie window was very easy. They recommend that you bring an insulated bag but we live pretty close by so we skipped that step. We ended up with the cinnamon toast nuts flavor, and while the ice cream was pretty great, it's definitely very indulgent and heavy. I honestly think the way that you have to set an alarm and commit to trying to get a pint increases the enjoyment of having and eating the ice cream, but for the cost and hassle we probably won't make this a...
Read moreI had to try because a colleague said it was good. Got the text a drop was happening and went to website. I bought a flavor called “Cornstar” (10/10 for the name). I will say it is good, not amazing. Very different flavor for sure. The ice cream itself was not creamy but icy per my wife. I admit it wasn’t super creamy but not bad. We go to a frozen custard place near our house and that is creamy. Honestly, Blue Bell or Haagen- Dazs is as good if not better. If you like to experiment with flavors you can’t find in mainstream stores, then give this a try. Nothing to me justifies $17 after tax for a pint that I have to go to the Heights to pick up. People are definitely buying the hype. I do like to support small businesses so that aspect is cool but again, WAAAAYYY overpriced for...
