As an airline pilot who frequently dines at Wendyâs, I am utterly disappointed by my recent experience at the Wendyâs located in Terminal A of Houston Intercontinental Airport.
Upon ordering a chicken sandwich, I was shocked to find that it was completely raw inside. Consuming undercooked poultry is a serious health hazard, and this level of negligence is unacceptable, especially in a busy airport location where food safety should be a top priority.
To make matters worse, when I brought this issue to the attention of the staff, I was met with indifference and rudeness. The first employee I spoke to did not apologize or show any concern. Instead, they acted as if I was inconveniencing them by bringing up a serious food safety issue. The second employee was equally dismissive, showing no interest in resolving the problem or offering any form of compensation.
Hoping for a better response, I asked to speak with the manager. Unfortunately, the manager's attitude was no better. They were condescending and unapologetic, showing a complete lack of accountability and customer service skills. This type of behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on Wendyâs as a brand.
As someone who travels frequently and often relies on airport dining options, this experience has severely damaged my trust in Wendyâs. The combination of dangerous food preparation and appalling customer service has convinced me to take my business elsewhere.
I strongly urge Wendyâs corporate to address these serious issues at their Houston Intercontinental Airport, Terminal A location. Until significant improvements are made, I will not be dining at...
Read moreIâm honestly baffled by how bad this experience was. First offâthis is a busy international airport, not a sleepy roadside stop. Why on earth is a fast food spot in an airport closing at 9 PM? Wendyâs used to be known for being open lateâclearly not the case here.
I arrived at 8:40 PM, well before closing. I ordered a combo meal with a Frosty, only to be told no Frosty drinks. FineâI switch to a strawberry soda. âNo syrup,â the cashier says. I try Dr. Pepper. âAlso out of syrup.â At this point, I just ask for a bottled water, which he rings up along with just the sandwichâdespite me clearly ordering a combo. I double-check and then he informs me they also have no fries.
Excuse me? Were you ever going to mention that, or was I supposed to find out while sprinting to my gate? This wasnât even a dead timeâthere were at least 10 people behind me in line.
For a location in one of the busiest airports in the country, this kind of low quality and poor communication is just unacceptable. I ended up canceling my order entirely. Do...
Read moreOne of the worst experiences at an establishment ever. I went Monday February 6 at around 5:30PM. The person at the front cashier was so rude. I asked for a grilled chicken combo and she asked the cook if "we got grilled". The cook looked in the back of this disgustingly dirty looking grill and said "na, we aint' got it". I then said ok let me get a hamburger combo number 1. She asked "what kinda drink, coke, sprite...?" . I asked for water please. "We ain't got no water." OK give me a break. You don't have water?? I just said no I dont 'want it then. I turned around and as I was walking off the cashier starting talking trash behind my back. I kept walking. I knew I would write this review. This was a terrible terrible experience and I may never try Wendy's again for the rest of my life because of it. I was just so hungry and I had a flight that was leaving. I ended up being hungry all...
