Wendy's — Restaurant in Houston

I'm giving it 4 stars only to be generous and because their "dining" area used to be nasty, and is cleaner now, but the truth is that it looks like now they're being very UNFAIR with their Coffee "policy", so I won't be going there for breakfast. This is what it looks like they're doing: if you order a breakfast combo and you want coffee, they don't give you any other choice of size except for LARGE and then they charge you extra, as if that was what YOU wanted! Prior, I guess I thought they had run out of the smaller size cups, and they were just using what they had available and not charging extra for the ounces that you might not even want. But no...I was there today, it has been a while and they're still only serving LARGE coffee and judging by the amt I had to pay, looks like (again) they're charging you extra when you might just want small! In fact I literally empty some of it out and or never even finish it. So, I won't be going there anymore, I will stick with Dunkin, where I believe it's a little less money, for breakfast sandwich, add a donut, the size coffee I actually want and they even cream n sugar it...

👎Pathetic slowness! And ESPECIALLY at an airport? NIT EXACTLY fast food! Waited over 10 MINUTES in line with only 3 PEOPLE in front of me! Finally another person came to the counter to take orders, and moving the line. She was much faster than he was! On top of that, I was waiting more than 10 MINUTES AGAIN, and my food STILL wasn't ready!! I had to make an executive decision to demand a refund because I wasn't gonna take a chance on missing my plane! When you go to a FAST FOOD establishment, you are EXPECTED to get it FAST! Not 10-15 minutes after. Even Whataburger, and Wendy's out of airport locations are much faster than they were! Sorry Wendy's at Intercontinental Airport! You are NOT UP TO PAR! Ya BETTER get people trained BETTER! Not sure if I'll EVER go to this location again! Passengers beware! Ya better get in line at LEAST 90 minutes before your plane's scheduled departure due to the pathetic SLOWNESS of this place! One of your ole slogans was "Fast Food, that doesn't taste fast!" Not in my case!...

Stopped by for a quick bite ahead of a flight, partly for nostalgia purposes. Rather serves me right for a self-indulgence as all in all, a bit disappointing. Burger meat was a highlight, though, hot and juicy.

While not having any large fries cups was worthy of mentioning to me (perhaps only because I tried to order a medium!), the lack of lettuce (see picture) apparently wasn’t. Moreover, the fries in the large cup I had to pay extra for instead wouldn’t have troubled the capacity of a medium (see picture, again), and were too cold to be worth eating.

“Oh, but you could have complained” I hear the defence proclaiming - I agree in principle, and perhaps the situation would have improved, but I was in an airport… for a quick bite… before a flight. In that moment, one needs delivery of reasonable standards (I ask no more!), not an invitation to take more time correcting shortcomings.

Might have been bad luck on the day, but a sad...
