Long Horn is not high or medium on my list of good interesting places to eat. Not enough day light coming in to cheer the place up. The waiter had to quickly switch his seating choice for us, because his first choice was not customer ready. Our waitress was a little vexed, We were not sure why since we had never met her. She gave me a straw to drink my beer with and watered down lemonade for my lunch guess. The shrimp, lobster cream soup had two pieces of potatoes, dried up cooked last weeks tiny, tinny baby shrimp. When I asked the waitress about the wheteabouts of the lobster she said "see those red specs, that's lobster." Well it looked like and tasted like red roasted pepper. But not lobster. There was about seventeen pieces of corn. I asked her to bring me a better serving. She did. It was still watered down with lobster and shrimp water. However. I did not use the straw to drink my beer on an empty stomach. I will however give the cook a 9 on a scale of 10. The salad with chicken was very good, but the dressing was a bit like some candies to sweet. The water did help to wash it down. My lunch partner's pork chops were also good and tasty, she said. The waitress never brought us finger toweletts to freshen our hands after asking twice. We had just come from home depot. The waitress had to be prompted to remove the used dishes from the table. We had moved them to the outter edge of the table, to truly signal removal please and so not to reach accross us. Oh well. The entire time we were dining her attitude was of one wishing she was some place else with a straw and beer. Doesn't she know that most people have to work for that. As we came to paying for our meal her disposition brightened. My idea of a tip was two dollars, my lunch partner left more, which in my opinion sent the wrong message. When in these types of service positions you who are providing such service must put your needs, your desires aside and provide the service, or ask management if you could be excused to run around the block, or go home and have an all out temper tantrum. Oh! When is LongHorn going to get a better bread idea? First impressions no matter how many times you sit that sad bread in front of a person is always important. Two stars because the cook saved the day. Happy dining if you can at Longhorn Steakhouse...
Read moreI generally despise chain restaurants and I tend to avoid them. And let me be specific, I am giving a review of THIS location as I have no clue about the quality of others. We had dinner here as the result of getting a gift card. My wife ordered shrimp along with broccoli and a sweet potato. I had the lamb with spinach, rice on the side with asparagus. Anybody who has read my reviews know I LOVE well made asparagus. And Longhorn did not disappoint. The lamb was fantastic. The asparagus perfect. The spinach and rice perfect. My wife's shrimp was cooked just right and yummy. Her sweet potato was fab, and the broccoli also just right. Her salad was great too. The portions were nice. I could not finish the lamb and boxed it. Our server, Ryan, was extremely polite and checked on us several times, which I appreciate. In fact everyone we dealt with was very nice. So, yeah, this is a chain restaurant. But I'm giving credit where credit is due. They are doing it the right way here and I have to recommend it. I should have taken a picture of the food, but by the time I thought of it, I had already dug...
Read moreWhat a waste of money. They are very over priced for what they give you in food. I ordered a flos fillet a 6 oz. It was as small as a McDonald's hamberger. I spoke to a manager who said I would get a call back today. Well what a surprise. No call. If people like wasting their money go to this place and bon appetite. Well Longhorn reached out to me. I am very appreciative of that. But as for the Howell Longhorn I will never go there again. I will spend my money elsewhere.
Ok so I gave them another try. Well this time I had the salmon and it had bones in it. I didn't even finish it as I was afraid of more bones. Then I was given ranch not blue cheese dressing. I will give credit to Chris the manager and he said he would investigate because the salmon should not have bones. He said he would take care of me and he did. Only thing this experience has caused me to never want the salmon again. Came back and spoke with Chris. He told me of all the boxes of salmon. I got the one with bones. Lucky me!! My meat was excellent and my waiter was...
