This place has deteriorated over the past few months. Don’t get me wrong, it used to be the place where Howell/Jackson folks used to get their fixings whenever they’re in the mood for Chinese take out.
After tonight’s take out, I’m going to give this restaurant a few zonks for trying to scam their customers of a convenience fee when using a credit card (folks, if you paid with a credit card, check your receipt!). I just spent a little over $65 for a family of 4 to be charged a $4+ fee. This might not be a big deal for some, but if you think about all the foot traffic and transactions this place gets. These fees adds up to benefit the restaurant.
I have never heard of any nearby Asian restaurants that charges extra fees when using their card/debit. If anything, most restaurants would charge a credit card fee if the total of the food is LESS than $15 to compensate the third party card processor. But cmon, if a customer is paying premium prices for take out (more than $15), stop with the extra fees! It’s absolutely a scam!
Let’s not forget, when you call in the restaurant, you’re NOT speaking with the person who works there, you’re speaking with an third party agent. It throws me off when the person has a South Asian/South American accent. Did I call in for Chinese take-out or did I call in for Indian/Mexican food? None of these accents with whom you placed the order with, work at this restaurant. If they do, I need to see a Indian/Mexican worker behind the counter taking food orders over the phone. Prove it wrong.

I placed the order over the phone because their website was down. I told them to tip the driver $10. I get the receipt and it says I tipped him $5. He seemed appreciative but that’s not even 15%. We like to tip over 20%. We always do. I figured it was a mistake so I called the restaurant and some woman answered. I explained I wanted to tip $10 and you only put 5. She goes Ok? I’m like I want the driver to get the extra $5! She basically in so many words says no. So idk what they did with the 5. They somehow manipulated the system and took it from the driver or plain don’t care about the driver. HOWEVER, There has been a female who has been answering the phone recently (I've been a customer for a fee years) who is just lifeless, hardly gets the orders right and cuts you off immediately. I have been hung up on multiple times before I could even add to my order.
Thus they are loosing a little extra money because of this woman. She is just so very rude and short. She does not know how to deal with people over the phone. I am also saying this for about 5 other people who also order from this place who are living with me. She needs to get her act together, I and others are getting tired with her bad attitude and lifeless order taking.
