Mr Gatti's Pizza — Restaurant in Hudson Oaks

I haven't been to a Mr Gatti's since I was a kid ( probably 4 decades and some change ago)😁I just found out they opened one in the Hudson Oaks Walmart.I went there today with my husband to try it out. 1st of all, the lady taking our order was so helpful and very nice. We were trying to decide what we wanted & keep the price reasonable. Without us saying anything ,she was already trying to get us the best deal & she definitely did. We not only got lunch (&super full) but had so much food leftover we had supper as well❤️❤️😁 we got a large pizza with everything ( the sampler & at HALF PRICE ,a special they have going on), medium garlic cheesebread sticks (which was just about the size of the large pizza !❤️💯) ,2 large drinks, 1 side salad (which is big enough for 2 people) and it all came out to about $27 !!! We don't eat out hardly because of the cost lately but if we start we'll definitely only go there❤️😁💯. I'm picky and definitely hate trying new places but so glad I did. PLUS the food really was amazing !! I usually don't eat pizza much but when I decided to ,my favorite place WAS Mr Jim's. Their food is still good but not like this. This was like having it homemade 💯😁❤️ and even though it wasn't her job to wait on us ,she made sure we were ok and had everything we needed while we were there. Totally recommend everyone go there and try it out.its awesome. Oh, while we were there they did something I hadn't seen done in awhile.... They put out free sample pieces ,fresh outta the oven for people to try❤️❤️ actually I don't think I've ever seen free pizza samples set out anywhere ever, but it sure beats tablespoon samples of cold salsa and plain yogurt other vendors set out💯💯🏆🏆🏆😁❤️ sorry so long but it really was great , I don't do many reviews unless I'm motivated to do so. I placed an online order and said it was going to be ready at 6:07pm, so i headed to walmart and still bought a few things so by the time i went in to pick up it was 6:14pm, took awhile for a girl to pop out from the back, told her i was picking up an online order and she said they were barely making it🙄 She said it was going to take 15mins for it to be ready, since i had already paid for it and my kids were hungry i decided to just wait, well i did not only wait 15mins, but a total 35MINS! They offered me a small cup of ranch😒 to "make it right" for the extremely long wait. When we opened the box, it didnt even seem like they tried to be honest, literally lookslike they through the pizza in the box. I was very upset cause it took an extra 40mins from the time that it should have been ready, "because they were so busy" when the lobby was empty and all 3 employees were in the back. A door dasher was also waiting that whole time to get an order, and probably about 10mins for an employee to even come out from the back to tell him the exact same thing i was told "we are barely making the order cause we are soo busy" Honestly with that type of service im not looking forward...

So this was our 3rd trip to the Gattis located in this Walmart. The first time the pizza was better than expected. Our second trip a few months ago was about the same. This trip was totally different. I ordered a large cheese and pepperoni pizza. I placeed my ordered in store and came back about the time it was suppose to be done. I had to wait a few minutes once there because they said the order wasn't done. No big deal but when I got it, the boxes were warm but not hot. Seemed odd for pizza fresh out of the oven. We took the pizza immediately home to eat. The pizza was the worst pizza I have had in a long time! It was barely warm, dry and tasted like it was sitting under a heat lamp for most of the day. There is no way that pizza was just made! I will be calling the manager tomorrow. I dont know what happened the quality there but I will...
