A good burger and a great environment.
Not sure if this should be Pike 51 Brewing or Hudsonville Winery. I believe they are both under one roof and the food is mainly an addition to the drinks so you have a whole experience.
Deluxe Burger - $13.51: 6oz standard burger patty cooked to medium well done and probably needed a bit more seasoning. The American cheese was just right. The toppings were in good proportions, fresh, and on the bottom (which is not normal but I think worked in this case). The bun was good. All in all, it was about average.
I would be interested in trying the Smash Burger with Smashburger Sauce, though.
Fries - $2.60 extra: The fries were delicious. Medium cut and made with a delicious batter crust. A bit on the darker side, but savory.
Service: Order at the bar. Your order number is on a stand and brought out to your table. Self serve water keg. The food arrived in less than 15 minutes as expected. Everyone was positive and cheerful. While I prefer standard table service, I don’t have any actual complaints at all.
Atmosphere: Clean, organized, wood themed. It seems to accommodate a decent crowd if needed. There were high tables and standard tables all with chairs. I did not see booths. There was also outdoor seating.
They seemed to welcome military service men. There was a pamphlet about those who “fight after the war” and there were two US Army men in fatigues when I visited. That is really cool!
Conclusion: They are a very polished restaurant. The emphasis was on drinks, but the food seemed good. The burger is not bad, but not spectacular.
Visited on a Thursday at 1pm.
Parking: Small parking lot in front, but maybe more around...
Read moreWow the bartenders here are so unintelligent and the management must be pretty terrible. The bartenders were wearing their masks over their mouths but not covering their nose??? or just wearing it over their chin or even pulling their masks down and leaning forward to take orders. This behavior is disgusting and a huge turnoff. They also had signs telling everyone where to stand along the bar to get their order taken and we were standing under one of the signs, keeping our distance from others, but then the bartender told us to come over to her where people were standing. We patiently waited for the people to leave, not wanting to rush them. Then the lady said in the nastiest attitude, if you want to be helped you can come over here like, are you stupid? There's P E O P L E there why would I do that? Her attitude was nasty and we ordered a flight, she gave them to us and didn't even tell us which...
Read moreWe decided to try this place out and we’re not super impressed with the food. The overall atmosphere is pleasant and I cannot speak for the beer/wine as we did not try that. However, the food was lackluster. I had the smash burger, which was small, under seasoned (if at all), and had the lowest quality of cheese. It felt like a burger from McDonald’s, but quadruple the price. My wife had the brisket quesadilla and that was good! My son had the deluxe burger, which was almost identical to the smash burger and similar issues. His didn’t seem to be seasoned at all. The fries and pretzel bits that we had were probably 5 minutes over fried. It was like bitting into a very crusty piece of air. Overall, glad we tried them, but can say we probably won’t be back for the food. Hopefully, it was a bad day for them as they seem to have pretty...
