We normally love McAlister's, but this location just seemed off from the start. They didn't have a general manager name listed on the door as I've become accustomed to at other locations and, if that meant they were currently without a GM at the time of our visit, it clearly showed.
The location itself was clean and as inviting as any other in the chain. I've also no complaints about the staff we dealt with as they were friendly and seemed genuinely interested in helping us.
The food, however, was another story. I ordered the Italian sandwich and attempted to order the superfood slaw. They let us know that they were out of this and the tomato cucumber salad, two of the more healthy options on the menu for sides. This was a little odd to me, being a Saturday. You'd think they'd be stocked up for a weekend when restaurants tend to be a little busier. The sandwich itself had too much mustard and seemed carelessly assembled.
My girlfriend ordered the sweet Chipotle chicken sandwich and a broccoli and cheddar soup (this soup is a staple for McAlister's if you ask us). The soup was still very good thankfully, but the sandwich was super bland and dry. Again, it seemed to be carelessly assembled by somebody in the back simply there to collect a paycheck. That's something I'd expect from a more fast-food style establishment, but every other McAlister's we've gone to has had exceptional quality control, so this was...
Read moreWould rather had gave them zero stars with the horrible customer service I just received. I’ve worked in food service a few times before. But never have I gotten mad at customers because they came to eat 40 minutes before we closed. Wasn’t greeted, the manager just stared at us. Wasn’t offered to dine in, and he never knows how to work the screens and he’s the damn manager. Other employees were already dumping sweet tea and closing restrooms..they close at 9pm and we got there at 8:20.. it was sad, we came to eat here inside because we don’t have a home to eat inside of right now. will not be coming back. We had to eat in the car, we could have went to a drive thru for that. Let alone I’m pregnant so it pissed me off even more. Bad experience, when my dad used to run McAlister’s he never made people feel unwelcome or uncomfortable even if they walked in at 8:50. McAllister’s y’all can do better.. get better employees and a better manager, people who actually care about their customers and their job. Don’t work in the food industry if you’re gonna be this way towards people paying to eat, come on now. We were forced to take our food out at 8:20pm, weren’t even given a choice. Had to come back and edit my response, I thought he was the Gm but he was just a manager.. the bald dude with braces...
Read moreThe food service here is ridiculous! I love mcalister. I've been going for years, but this is my first time stopping at this location. I'm so disappointed and upset! When I arrived to pick up my food, I opened the bag to check my food. The sandwhich wrap was thrown together and was missing the other half, too. Whoever put this together didn't care about the service they give the customer and apparently doesn't care about their job. The woman had sent my food back to be remade because I literally was telling them about this ridiculous service. I'm glad I did not leave! Before, this was fixed because if I got on the highway and saw this mess, I would have been mader. Plus, my crackers are missing with my soup. I never had problems with the locations in Sugarland and katy. I do not recommend this mcalister; tbh this one, location is starting to make me rethink all mcalisters now!!!...
