I had arrived at this location earlier tonight and it was 5 minutes after 8. The door was locked and there were people inside. I was the only person standing at the door, no one else wanting to come in. I do realize that i was 5 minutes late but I thought I only need one small ham for Thanksgiving because half of my relatives do not like Turkey, so surely they would let me in for 2 minutes. I motioned for someone to come to the door and the manager sent this nice little old lady to talk to me and tell me she was sorry but they were closed. I explained to her my situation and that it would have taken me about 2 minutes to get what I needed with my coupon that our company gives out every year for the holidays. And I do mean the company I work for gives out thousands of gift certificates for at least a 25.00 ham or turkey breast every year. They have done this for many years. Now, as much business as I have done for many years there myself, you would think that the HBH company could find it in their busy day to spare 2 minutes for a long time customer. The manager would not come talk to me either. That shows a huge disrespect for their customers and I can promise you that I will never ever buy from HBH again. And I will discourage others to do the same. This should be posted and it should go to the managers for HBH above the store level. Obviously they are lacking in experience at the store level managers, this one...
Read moreHoney Baked Ham Company offers a diverse menu, and I truly appreciate their inclusion of non-pork options, such as the delightful turkey. It's a fantastic choice for those seeking alternatives to traditional ham.
However, my dining experience came with some unexpected twists. I was surprised to find that there's no dining area – it's take-out only. While this was a minor inconvenience, it's worth noting for those expecting a sit-down meal.
The main dishes, while flavorful, left me with mixed feelings. The portion sizes seemed a bit on the small side for the price, and the feed was average. I anticipated a bit more generosity in quantity for the cost.
For a small family of three, Honey Baked Ham Company becomes a more reasonable option, especially when exploring their delightful sides like the cheddar potatoes and Mac and cheese. These sides add a satisfying touch to the meal.
Yet, I would caution larger families looking for a feast. If you're feeding a crowd, the portions might not stretch as far as you'd hope, and the cost could escalate quickly. In such cases, opting to cook the food yourself might be a more practical and cost-effective choice.
In summary, Honey Baked Ham Company has its strengths, especially for smaller gatherings or those seeking non-pork options. However, the absence of a dining area and considerations for larger feasts are factors to keep in mind when planning your visit....
Read moreI ordered a signature deli tray with a gift card, 1st I attempted to order online, was not able to use a gift card as a form of tender, next I attempted to order over the phone but that was also not a viable option. Turned out I had to drive all the way to the store and order in person with a paper form. Note: Their ordering system is totally outdated.
Service....their staff is absolutely childish and unprofessional. Example: I called to check on my order and was put on hold, the young girl picked back up and then I could hear the other female voices of staff in the background laughing and telling her to hang up on me. She did so I called back again with a different number and explained I was hung up on and that I was checking on my order and had placed my order in person at the store the day before, they said they would have to ask the manager to help me and look up my order. I guess this is a prime example of people working minimum wage jobs and also doing the absolute minimum amount of work possible. Lazy is an...
