We were at this location Saturday, May 11 around 7 PM. I would like to say that I personally have and have several family members that have and currently do work in the food industry so completely understand the struggles that happens sometimes however… Our experience last night was beyond bad. We were seated quickly and the server was attentive however, after taking our order, that’s when things went downhill ….after a nearly a 30 minute wait ours server apologized for the wait. We heard lots of “loud discussions” coming from the kitchen. Finally, one plate arrived. There were three adults and two kids. My daughter received her Colorado omelette, but it appeared very greasy and somewhat overcooked. We then waited approximately 7 to 8 minutes, and one of the kids meals came out once again, the server apologized and said the other should be out shortly, several minutes later my country fried steak breakfast, then came out, but did not have the pancakes with it. The steak was somewhat overcooked and the gravy look like it had been sitting on it for a long time again the food was very greasy, and the hashbrowns were overcooked. At this point, we had been seated for over 45 minutes, and my wife and one of the kids had not received their meals at all. The manager showed up at our table and said that they had a new cook who was having some struggles. He didn’t really offer any explanation or compensation just said that and walked off. Finally after about another 15 minutes my wife decided to just go back to the car with the grandkids. Also, we had ordered coffee which they brought in a pot and two single coffee cups at 3.50 apiece! We finally had to ask for compensation because my wife’s food never showed up until we were literally getting up to leave, I was charged full price for a meal that wasn’t even mostly edible and was not complete. The server did comp that meal as well as takeoff the one for my wife. We still wound up paying about $24 with tip and all. It was totally not the servers fault. In fact she looked very upset and almost in tears. If you have a new cook, that’s inexperienced why would you put him on the line with no help. Also, I would add there were only two other tables seated at the time so it wasn’t like it was extremely busy after speaking to some friends of ours that live there in the area they said “oh yeah, that place has a bad reputation we would not recommend going there” I was definitely disappointed in my experience here and hopefully this review will help someone to get them...
Read moreSo I was treated to breakfast by my oldest son yesterday morning and everything was good until our waitress had 2 very unpleasant unconscious racist moments now I will say she was very pleasant and her service was prompt...as we were dining myself and oldest and youngest son a Hispanic couple was seated a few feet from us our waitress like I said was very pleasant and prompt she gave us many options and choices like fluffy or shell eggs and chaloula or tabasco sauce when the Hispanic couple placed their order she immediately went and grabbed the chaloula hot sauce (no choices for them) the man was very polite and requested tabasco next my son hands her his credit card to pay for breakfast and a $10 tip she comes back to us and tries to hand me his card I kindly let her know that the card belonged to my son and instead of an apology she says she didn't think he had a credit card I just politely said he did and left my son is a black blessed and prosperous young man with perfect credit and is in college studying medicine (biology pre med major) I'm sure she didn't mean to intentionally be rude and I'm most definitely not calling her a racist but I had a whole purse sitting beside me if I were going to pay I would have but the fact that you overlooked him to say what you didn't he would have was very rude and disrespectful and in a time like this where I as a black mom raising black sons am constantly reminded of the horrors that black men and boys and now sometimes black women go through would like to be treated as you would like to be Ms waitress...
Read moreWent in late night around midnight. I had been delayed in the airport for 15 hours so i was pretty hungry and tired after learning my flight had been canceled due to inclement weather. This ihop is the only food place open this late in this area. Upon entering there was a strong smell of urine i held my breath and waited to be sat. When i was brought my menu it too had a strong odor of urine. I notified my server immediately and asked for a new menu, to my surprise after telling her of the smell she simply set the smelly menu aside(instead of throwing it in the trash) and gave me another. I quickly ran to the bathroom to wash my hands and face and brought back paper towels full of near by hand sanitizer to wipe my table. Since it was this or starve i ordered the bacon omelette and ate as quickly as possible. I paid and left holding my breath. The floor was also filthy and need to be scrubbed. Nearly everything i touched on the table had a stickiness to it. I hope the manager sees this and makes a better effort to keep the restaurant clean and safe. It’s a trickle down effect. If management is not enforcing standards then team members will not follow through with with up keeping those basics standards of cleanliness. I think I saw an elderly looking manager in a purple shirt step on to the floor but quickly she ran to hide when our eyes met. I know that it can be a struggle because i have been in food and beverage for nearly two decades but cleaning should not...
