I had high hopes for this place. I gave this place 3 chances. My first visit there was random. I'd never been and I wanted to try a few things. The chocolate covered pretzels tasted old and of plastic. The cream puff was not a true cream puff but made from crescent type of pastry which was tough and lacked flavor. The pineapple cake was dry but very delicious. I figured maybe I just went on the wrong day. My second visit I grabbed a cheesecake and strawberry cake and they were amazing! Best cheesecake ever. Well my third visit, I attempted to walk inside, matter of fact I didn't even touch the door. I was reading a door sign. But my visit was to inquire on placing a large cake order and personal desserts for a corporate party. I simply wanted a quote. Before I even touched the door, a man came out from a side door and told me I could not go in because they were having a private event and they were closed to the public. First off, this man does not know how to speak to customers. Secondly, I think it's pretty ridiculous that the shop be completely shut down for business for a private party. I thought that was the whole purpose of their private party room. But I guess they rather risk losing lots of business and potential large orders for one small private event. I think fate was telling me not to book with these people. Especially after seeing their not so great reviews. I gladly booked elsewhere.

A week ago I went to a Bakery that I had been too before but had moved to a new location. It's called Yummy Tummy Bakery located in Humble Texas off FM 1960E. Now it has changed from before. It is more Lavish and Elegant. The decor is fancy, a chandelier, a Beautiful floral wall, comfortable couch, plenty of seating and a enclosed space for a private Birthday party for that Beautiful Little Princess in your life. The pastries are Delicious n Colorful especially the Macaroons, the different cookies are soft, chewy and sweet. They also have Tres Leches cakes and what I chose the Bread Pudding it was so good. The chef was very friendly and knowledgeable about his deserts and he also recommended which ones I should try. Now, it's very casual so don't think you have to be dressed fancy. You need to ask questions especially if you want to know the price of something cause no prices were posted by the pastries. I can tell you that the cookies cost around $2.50 each. But, the Best part are the Delicious Pastries I highly recommend them.šŸ˜‹šŸŖšŸŽ‚šŸ°šŸ„§šŸ˜‹

Put your prettiest dress on and head over to Yummy Tummy Pastries for an enchanting experience as you sit and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and treats such as macaroons, cupcakes, cookies or a slice of one of their many thoughtfully crafted cakes. I brought my out of town mom for dessert and a chat……and let me tell you the time spent was even sweeter as we enjoyed Parisian music, while sipping on cappuccino, latte, vanilla raspberry and cheese cake slices. While there we were mesmerized by the beautiful and meticulously placed decor which is both delicate and feminine with accents of tea sets, china, and plenty of instagramable background. We also had the opportunity to chat with the owner, Lety, whom is such a joy and take takes immense pride in her bakery. You can also make cake and treat orders of course. Looking forward to returning soon!

As a loyal customer for 10 years, I am deeply disappointed in the lack of honest and stellar service I received at the New Caney location. For 10 years, beginning at the original location in old Humble, I have ordered several custom cakes for my family, regularly picked up on site sweets and referred countless friends and neighbors to Yummy Tummy Pastries.

On August 5th, I ordered a custom cake for my daughter's 8th birthday. Jasmine at the New Caney location took my order. She seemed a bit confused throughout the process and had to make a few corrections with my deposit. This was also the third time that I've had a cake issue with this location. Nevertheless, I had faith that if there were any errors on the day of pickup, they could be addressed quickly.

I returned on August 23rd to pick up the cake. I was told that there was no record of the order. I presented my receipt which outlined the date ordered, a custom cake order, the paid deposit, and that Jasmine was the one that took the order.

The young server searched frantically in the back, on the tablet for the order, and called the Humble location to see if the cake was there. She could see the many previous orders I made in the system, but not the one placed on August 5th. Jasmine was present, not once did she acknowledge that she was the one who took the order. Not once did she apologize to me or try to resolve the issue. The young server then said she spoke with the Manager, Daisy, and she offered a full refund and that I can select a cake from the display. I responded that was not acceptable and requested to speak with Daisy. I was told that Daisy was at the Humble location. I requested to speak with Daisy via phone. I was told that she was not available and would contact me immediately via cell and she would try to get the cake made and delivered to us the next day. It is now 5 days later, and I was never contacted by Daisy.

As we left the store, I called the Humble location and requested to speak with Daisy. I was told that Daisy is at the New Caney location. I then spoke with Edith, the manager at the Humble location, who was very helpful and immediately sought to resolve the issue. With Edith, I also requested to speak with the owners, but was told that they were unavailable. Edith worked with the baker to prepare the custom cake early the next morning and have it delivered to our home. I want to applaud Edith, as she was the only one that worked diligently to assist and ensure that our child had as close to the same cake that was originally ordered. Edith communicated with the owners and was able to get the delivery approved at no cost to us - which was the correct course of action as the cake was delayed at fault of the bakery - but that we would have to pay the remaining balance prior to delivery. I was unhappy with that as it lacked accountability and more than demonstrated that I was not valued as a longtime loyal customer. This was Saturday evening, and we were placed in a predicament in that there were no other options to get a custom cake. There was still no sincere apology from the owners.

But I must state, that this was not the exact same cake that Jasmine and I had discussed some changes that was noted on the original form. However, I was grateful for Edith's help! I have intentionally waited a few days to allow Daisy and/or the owners to contact me directly to discuss, but they have not. I am sure that I will hear something after posting this review, which is very sad.

As a result of the above, I will no longer frequent this business nor highly recommend...

To start, let me just say that this bakery has amazing flavors and their cakes are delicious, unfortunately their organization and professionalism is the worst I've ever dealt with. The first bad experience was at the tasting. I booked a few weeks in advance and when my matron of honor and I showed up, they were completely unprepared. Somehow no one knew we were coming and so we had to wait for 45 minutes for one of the owners to show up and allow us to taste. When I tried their cakes, they were too good not to book and I'd hoped this experience was just a one off. The 2nd flavor I selected they didn't have on-hand to try, so we set up another tasting the following week. When my fiance and I showed up, they were again almost 30 minutes late to our scheduled meeting. I understood that sometimes these things can't be helped and didn't hold it against them. In our 2nd tasting, the owner and head baker, Letty, told me she would send color samples of the icing for me to approve not long after our tasting. This 2nd tasting was about 2 months before the wedding. Fast forward to 1 month before and I had not yet received any color samples. I called weekly asking for a timeline on when I would receive these, and every time the personnel seemed confused, but said I would receive them in a day or so. This conversation happened weekly for 3 weeks. 2 weeks prior to the wedding, my day of coordinator called the bakery to confirm the delivery time, and somehow they couldn't find my order. Yet when I called back it "magically" appeared. 1 week prior to my wedding I went into the bakery to pay off the cake and ask about the colors. The co-owner, Letty's husband, was very flustered and confused when I asked about confirming the colors. He brought out my sketch and showed it to me again, to which I responded that I had seen the sketch and was comfortable with the design. He then asked me, "well what do you want then?" I wanted to confirm the icing colors, which seemed to make him more flustered and he walked back into the kitchen. As he walked away I commented on how unprofessional my interactions with this bakery had been and he lost it. He yelled and told me not to tell him how to run his business, that maybe I should find another bakery, so on. He then came back out from the kitchen, would not speak to me, opened the cash register, pulled out my deposit and tossed it on the counter at me. He then told me he didn't want my business and to leave. To say I was completely caught off guard would be an understatement. I have never been so poorly treated in all my life. Later that evening, Letty texted me saying she was sorry to hear I canceled my order and would like to still do my cake. I responded with what had actually transpired, knowing that she had been present in the kitchen for the entire interaction because I saw her when the door swung open one of the times her husband walked back there. She told me how this is not how they treat their customers, etc. If she truly felt that way, she could have come to the front and stopped her husband's abuse of me, but she didn't. Now I have to replace my cake with 6 days left before my wedding. Like I said, the cakes are great, but if your are looking for a company with professionalism, well organized and treats their customers with respect, this is NOT...

I called about 2 weeks ago to see if I could do a cake tasting on a birthday cake & I was told yes. So one day when I was in the area I decided to stop by being as I’ve never been in the shop before, I wanted to schedule the cake tasting in person instead of over the phone. The girl at the counter tells me they don’t do cake tastings for birthday cakes and she doesn’t know why someone would tell me that. So then I’m offered a free slice of cake for the inconvenience. I also picked out another slice of cake to purchase and a package of cupcakes. That way I could take everything home to my husband so we could try. As I’m paying, the cashier asks if I’m going to order the cake today and I responded no because I want my husband to try the cake too. That was the whole point in wanting to schedule a cake tasting. After all the quote she gave me for a tiny paw patrol cake to feed 20 people was $155 NOT INCLUDING THE CHARACTERS. If I’m going to spend that much on a cake I would like to make sure it’s good first. She then tells me she’s going to have to charge me for the slice of cake because I’m not ordering the cake today. I didn’t argue with her because I’m not one to put up a fight and disrespect someone’s business so I still ended up purchasing everything. The cake is honestly the best cake I’ve ever had. But due to lack of communication between their staff and no knowledge of services I’m very disappointed and probably won’t be...
