Today was my first time, I ordered the 3 combo, shrimp, blue crab, and snow crab, with an additional 1/2 of clams. The sauce I chose was the Captain's Special spicy and I could give this entire meal a 5 star just for the sauce alone. The Sauce was textured, flavorful, there was hints of garlic, cajun seasonings, and I tasted something else that made the sauce taste almost like a seafood stew. The Umami was perfection, the spice was not too hot but still gave you a zing, the plate was served with, Gloves, Bib, scissors, and shell breaker, there was plenty of room to eat, and plenty of paper towels to spare. From the moment I got the plate I was digging in.
The Blue Crab was full of meat but as it was my first time I had a difficult time getting the meat out of the shell, after some help from the wonderful hostess, I was able to dig the meat out no problem. The Snow Crab legs were also delicious. The best part was the Shrimp, big and juicy and with the Captain's Special Sauce I was enjoying every single bite. If I could give a couple critique it would be that the Blue Crab was difficult to eat (my fault), and the 1/2 of clams was very lacking in meat (Still very juicy, fresh and delicious bites). However even so, due to how filling the sauce was by itself, as there was hints of parmasian cheese in it, I enjoyed the entire bowl and was completely satisfied with the meal.
Thew Price was very competitive for what you are getting and you are definitely missing out if you don't try this place. I can't recommend it enough, if you do eat here, I recommend the 1 full pound of shrimp and just add a 1/2 pound of something else with the Captains Special Sauce Spicy, and ask for extra sauce. If I could give this place 6 stars I would, but 5 is good. I bought extra sauce and I'm going to dip...
Read moreWalked in, there was not a host as you enter, all workers were behind the counter, so I proceeded to the counter ordered my food then sat down to eat. Owner comes to tell me I cant sit down for I togo order. It was not a togo order, I went to the register because I didn't see anyone. What difference does it make if everyone comes in and spend money they should be allowed to order and sit, especially when there were several open tables and that doesn't matter. If you always want someone to be seated by a waitress to eat in, make sure you pay a host to greet each customer that walks in so there is no confusion. I wont be back. And like the other customer, I order because Im always in the area. I dont spend my money in places I’m not welcomed.
In response to owner response. Of course a customer who spends money in your establishment several times before would be upset that you would rudely disturb her eating when there was not a full house, empty tables everywhere and because the customer does not read every sign in the establishment, she orders food after seeing no one to seat her. And your response shows you have no rapport with people. To add none of your workers ever smile, they seem unhappy. my opinion. Thanks for not kicking me out after I purchased food at your restaurant and was sitting quietly eating before you interrupted me to tell me I ordered to go when I never intended to order to go, I walked in wanting to be seated. I’m not the only customer who doesn't agree with the policy. its your choice to run ur business the way...
Read moreI’ve always loved the food at Captain Crawfish—it’s consistently been great. However, my experience today left me frustrated and disappointed, and it’s a shame to see the service drop to such a poor level.
We stopped by for a meal, sat down, and waited… and waited. Twenty minutes went by, and no one came by to greet us, take our drink order, or even acknowledge our presence. Meanwhile, two other parties who arrived after us were seated and promptly attended to. It became obvious that whoever was assigned to our table simply wasn’t paying attention.
What made it worse was that I noticed other staff members standing around chatting, some even scrolling on their phones, while we sat there ignored. This wasn’t during a rush—it was far from busy, with only about five tables occupied in the entire restaurant. That’s what makes the lack of service so baffling and unacceptable.
I’m a loyal customer who has always appreciated the great food and usually great service here, but today was a completely different story. The management needs to address this lack of professionalism because it’s experiences like these that turn loyal customers away. I can understand delays when a restaurant is packed, but when it’s quiet and staff are blatantly neglecting their duties, it’s hard not to feel disrespected as a paying customer.
Until the service improves, I won’t be coming back. Great food should always be paired with great service—or at the very least, some...
