Avoid going in the geek squad section of this best buy. Manager named Cole failed to give me not good but any customer service at all. I recently bought all my stainless steel appliances from this location for our new home.Employees in that department and the laptop department were really nice and attentive. Boy oh boy was the geek squad dept the whole opposite!! And is obviously because management in that dept is the issue! Just bought a 800 dollar laptop which was giving me a minor issue on connectivity to Wi-Fi. I spoke to customer service over the phone. They set me up for an appointment to come in to this best buy, they said no problem. When I get there. Cole gave me the worst customer service experience Iâve ever received!! period. He would not look at me in the eye, kept looking at the 2 customers in lo line behind me. I was trying to explain the issue. He said âwe can send it to HP but it will be a couple weeks or if you would like to pay us the diagnose fee we can look at it for you in the next few days or you can go buy one at walmart. I know you have bought one from there before and never had an issueâ OMG I asked if I could speak to a manager who can help me with more options since I bought it not long ago. He said âIam the managerâ I again asked if there was a store manager and he said âiâm done with youâ nextâ than immediately started talking to the next guy and was ignoring me at this point!! OMG I had to go find the store manager on my own. Ernest was great help, way more helpful actually fixed my laptop within 2 minutes and tried to calm me down by answering all my questions when he noticed how bad I was treated and mention he will have his boss call me. I havenât received a called yet. Still waiting but I see why he is a actually store manager. Mr. Cole in the Geek Squad did not want to be at work that day. He made it clear to me. There is 100 people out there with a computer engineer degree who would love his job. Unbelievable!! Otherwise, I feel the employees here are either all liars or all clueless. I recently bought an macbook air and was told I could open up a credit card and get member pricing, and double the points back since I would be a new account holder and my first purchase. At first I said no because I wanted to pay with my travel credit card since I love to travel and those points are more useful to me personally. They said I could use that card to pay my bill later and by using a best buy card it would earn me almost 300 dollars in reward money back that I could put towards the macbook air essentially bringing the price down. I questioned it at least 3 to 4 times with 2 different employees at that time that I would be getting almost 300 back and could use that to bring my card balance down and they said yes. So I decided to open the card, which I never do at any store and proceeded on. A few days later it went on sale and I went back to price match and got another 100 taken off. I confirmed the same thing with another employee at customer service that I could use the rewards to bring the balance down and that I could pay with my travel credit card and she said yes. So now that's 3 employees. Now today I went to a best buy in the woodlands to pay the balance because the points kicked in and i wanted to pay it off and come to find out I only got 135 in rewards and can't use them towards my account balance nor can I even pay with my travel credit card. So the people at the Humble location are either liars, frauds, or negligent at their jobs...either way it's bad. We are talking credit here and flat out lying to a customer and it was 3 people total all saying the same damn lie is not okay. Purchased an 85 inch TV and had it mounted on the wall by Best Buy. The TV failed to work.
Went to this Best Buy location and purchased a new TV that was higher in price. I even allowed the gentleman to upsell me on a sound bar.
He put in the wrong delivery address and quoted me for the 3rd for delivery.
I catch the error a couple days later once I receive a delivery alert and informed them that they did not enter the correct address.
They update the address and then state the delivery will no longer be on the 3rd but now the 8th.. (fine)
Now today a day before theyâre supposed to deliver, I get a text saying delivery will be the 16th (due to item out of stock)
I go to the location (because the contact number intentionally connects you with a contact center, not the store, and they do absolutely nothing and then try to forward you to the delivery group who have zero autonomy over the purchases themselves) so youâre just going in circles until you just go to the store..
Finally go to the store and speak to a regular team member who had to grab a manager. For whatever reason every manager seems afraid to look customers in the face but instead whisper to the team members to gain information. (This was 2 managers) Finally they walk away and radio the team member to do their bidding and tell me âIâll receive a call tomorrowâ⌠(I 100% know nobody is calling me back)
I request a refund and a new manager comes out who proceeds to do the same thing and not talk to me but instead issue my $1300 refund and continue my scheduled 16th date for them to remove the currently broken TV from my wallâŚ.
Absolutely awful and there is no accountability or leadership in store or over the phone able to actually make anything right. You can easily tell the entire tone of the Best Buy team Is set by the management team which leads to half put together...
