We used to love going to Curry House, however, our last visit was disappointing. We did notice on the menu that they offered Bottled Water under the drinks for $1.50. We got there a little early and waiter asked if we wanted water to drink while waiting for the rest of the party and perusing the menu. He brought out bottled water for both of us. We didn't ask for bottled water, we would have been fine with tap. Here's my problem, I have no issue with restaurants keeping bottled water as there are people who have an issue with tap water. However, in our major metropolitan area, there should be no issue with drinking tap water. The rub is we weren't given a choice or even a warning. There was no, "we are having trouble with our water service so is bottled water at $1.50 per bottle okay with you?". The added insult was when the rest of the party arrived, they also asked for water. There were three of them but the waiter brought our 6 bottles of water, that we were subsequently charged for. Two bottles remained unopened so we took them with us since we paid for them. My partner was furious. He would have ordered beer or wine, by which the restaurant would have made more income. I understand the restaurant is under new ownership or management. But this is a practice we cannot abide. If they are willing to do this, what else are they misrepresenting or overcharging for? The whole thing is sus. The excess of plastic water bottles, which I'd be willing to bet they do not even attempt to recycle. We might have chosen Tea or beer in lieu of bottled water if tap wasn't available. But if there's a problem with the tap water in the restaurant wouldnt anything that required water also be unusable? It is very disappointing. We love the food but we will not...

Read moreWe came in shortly after 2pm on a Saturday. We were not greeted for a while before seated. We were made aware there was a buffet or menu options for dining, we decided to try the buffet. Horrible decision!! First of all no detailed descriptions so if you don't know the Indian names you'll have no idea what you're eating. The buffet was not kept up so staples like rice, tikka masala and veggies to name a few were empty!! When we asked they said it would be 5 minutes!! As things did get filled it was just small amounts and there were quite a few people in the restaurant so it was running out quick! It was also way too expensive for what was available, when it was available!! $13 for adults which is over the age of 7!! My son is 9 and ate a 1/2 cup of rice (that's all that was available) and 2 pieces of naan!! The buffet was never fully stocked the entire time we were there and my wife doesn't eat rice so we asked for the salad to be stocked and some carrots and cucumber were thrown out.....no salad. To top it off the restroom was not clean. While the flavor of some dishes was decent, the lack of food and customer service ruined the experience. We absolutely love Indian food but will not be back to this establishment and don't recommend it!
Pictured is the sauces of the buffet, they only item ever full and the plate I managed to form of rice & tikka masala. It was more like a plated meal and...
