I order regularly from your store location in Selinsgrove, usually about once a week. I nearly always get a ten piece order of honey Chipotle chicken poppers, and some other items. Usually the chicken are fine. The last two orders however have had barely any sauce on them. The first time I didn’t say anything. Now the second time I called in to let them know that there wasn’t enough sauce for ten pieces of chicken. The workers on the phone handed me off twice, so I had to keep explaining myself. The last employee I spoke to told me that it was impossible as he had made the food that there was no way it was true. I literally have a picture of the wings in question. So not only do I have barely sauced wings, but I have been called a liar. I asked for new wings to be sent out, but the worker hung up on me so I’m not even sure any are on the way. I hope so. But I’m extremely upset by the lowering standards and even more upset about being called a liar and the poor way I was spoken to/treated by employees. You can see I’m the picture that even after tossing the wings myself I couldn’t get enough sauce to even look like there is anything on them. Dry chicken isn’t what I ordered and now after waiting I feel like I wasted...
Read moreThe owner or manager, Melissa, is an absolutely wonderful and pleasant person that I was blessed enough to have gotten to know a little bit as a customer many years ago. The rest of the staff are also quite friendly, and most importantly, they are not obnoxious, arrogant, or outright rude like Pizza Hut's current staff in Selinsgrove area. Papa John's values their customer, which is quite important in a customer service industry; in other words, they remember where their paycheck actually comes from. I grew up with a waitress for a mother and a truck driver for a father, and so I spent a good bit of time in restaurants. I also worked in several. The first two things I was always taught? The customer comes first, and the customer is always right. Obviously the customer isn't always right, but for clarity's sake I'll spell it out: you never, ever argue with a customer. My last few times visiting Pizza Hut on the trail has been an absolute nightmare. Papa John's has never, ever (in all the years I've been eating their pizza) treated me so disrespectfully. God bless you guys, and keep up such fantastic work! And thanks for meeting up with me to deliver my pizza (yet another thing that Pizza Hut...
Read moreI'll admit, I was skeptical. I've had Papa John's from other locations in the past, abd was not impressed. It was greasy, overly spicy, and skimped on the cheese - in short, it was ill-balanced and mostly inedible.
Tonight, I was pleasantly surprised. Our pies were ready under the estimated time. The toppings (half sausage & pepperoni; half sausage green & peppers) were plentiful and the pepperoni was crisp and slightly spicy! The cheese was abundant, and the sauce was a nice balance of sweet and acidic. Even the crust had flavor....and they weren't lying when they said "stuffed crust" - 2 slices and I was tapping out.
Finally, the customer service was certainly different. The counter person (I'm assuming she was the manager) was helpful, courteous, and even opened the door for me when I was leaving.
I'm usually not a big fan of "chain pizza", but I was completely taken by surprise with this location. I 100% recommend...
