Cook Out — Restaurant in Huntersville

Horrible customer service by the MANAGER! We were working in Huntersville and we visited Cook Out there and the MANAGER was very rude not only 1 visit but 4 visits. We reached out to corporate and they got us in touch with the DISTRICT MANAGER of this store and he was even ruder. He put my husband on mute at about 25 minutes into the conversation because he didn’t want to here about the issue anymore and then hung up on my husband after a 44 minute conversation. Mind you my husband was on the phone with corporate again on my phone letting them know the guys phone number who he was dealing with and that we were audioing all conversations which we did which corporate seem to be upset because the gentleman who reached out to my husband clearly told my husband that he already handled the problem. So my husband said Roger I just got off the phone with Jamie I talk to her for 30 minutes and 13 seconds of a recorded conversation you called me three minutes after we hung up. How did you listen to the whole conversation I had with her Roger ? So he continued to tell my husband how he was interrupting his dinner service he was working and continue to tell my husband how he was wrong. So my husband said OK then enlighten me explain to me how I’m wrong when you said you listen to the whole phone conversation because it’s recorded but yet you called me three minutes after I hung up with her and you listened to a 30 minute and 13 second conversation and continued to be rude so I guess this just goes to show that this is acceptable from Cook Out unless they resolve this problem!!! DISAPPOINTED! Stopped here for a quick bite! The sign was off so thought it was closed at first but thought it's 6:45pm so how are they closed. Turns out the drive-thru open late sign was lit on the backside of the building. Got in the drive thru line (only one car in front of us) took them longer than it should have to order. Our turn to order and the system sounded bad at first. Couldn't understand what the window worker was saying. After letting her know, she came through clearer so it was probably user error. Notified the young lady at the window about the sign & someone turned it on. She was polite. We received our food, the fries were cold & needed some salt (there was none). My small burger was a joke! When I picked it up, I literally thought someone forgot to put the patty on my bun. Oh no, it was there but looked more like a piece of a patty (see pic)!😡 It was half the size of my palm. For two meals at $16 this should have been better. I ate it b/c it was literally the only meal I had after a busy day. Burger & hushpuppies were cold too. I mean there was only one car in line besides us! My husband's meal was the same. He ordered a double burger & the patty's were so little it looked like one (the way mine should have looked). Take the few extra minutes to drop some hot fries, cook a decent patty, and make sure things are right. I'd give 1-star but I'm just not a mean person. I should have gone to Wendy's....

Literally the WORST experience I have ever had at a fast food restaurant. I have visited this cookout countless times and have often encounters problems, but the last occasion takes the cake. I arrived at 1:15 which is 45 minutes before closing. The drive thru line was moving so slowly and it took 40 minutes to reach the drive thru speaker. As I pull up, the worker tells me that they only have bbq sandwiches and that they close in 5 minutes. I did not want a bbq sandwich, so I was disappointed. I asked if they had shakes, to which they replied no. I received no sympathy at all from the workers. I did not want to cause a scene, so I just left frustrated.

This is honestly completely unacceptable. I would have understood if I had arrived to the store 5 minutes before closing, but I literally waited for 40 minutes in that line before even being allowed to order. To make matters even worse, there were like 6 cars behind me also waiting.

Absolutely horrible time. Literally all of this is true I’m not kidding I swear. I have never waited in a drive thru line for that long and I was at least expecting to finally get my order. The employees were rude and unhelpful. Overall...
