Before today I hadn't been to Which Wich in probably 3 years or more. Today on my 30 minute lunch break I decided to give it a try. I ordered online so I would have time for my 5 minute drive and still be able to eat before having to clock back in at work. I placed my order and it said to give them 15 minutes to prep. I waited about 10 minutes, clocked out, and drove over. I walked up to a counter under a sign that says "Pick Up". ...Silly me. The nearest employees greeted me nicely and asked if they could help me. I told them I was picking up an online order...they told me to go to the register. The register said "Order" above it. There were no other signs in the store, other than menus/ads.
There was only 1 couple in line so it seemed no big deal. I didn't realize this couple was ordering meals for several people, and were high maintenance to boot. The kid at the register handled it super well though- props to him! Anyway, I waited literally 7 minutes shy of my entire lunch break on this couple to figure their stuff out, as they caught up with and greeted all of the employees they knew, and chit chatted to their friend farther back in line. The employees that sent me to wait in line saw me waiting, made eye contact several times, and said nothing to me or about me to any other employees-
Come to find out, once I finally got to the register and told them my purpose, I was met with, "Oh you didn't have to wait in line! You could have come over to the side here! I know there's no sign....we're working on getting one. Sorry." But in all that time, the employees who knew what I was there for could have said something. It wasn't like they were making sandwiches the whole time (thanks to the couple holding up the line.) So I got to try to eat while driving rather than getting a break, and had to immediately clock back in to my 16 hour shift at work. Even though I had planned ahead to have plenty of time. So I thought. Just frustrating. Everyone was friendly, and the sandwich was honestly delicious, though wolfed down at red lights. I just wish the employees would have stepped up and said something when they saw and knew exactly what...

Iāve been a couple times but generally stick with something cheaper, as this is the kind of place that makes you wonder why you paid triple Subwayās prices for a sandwich you could have made at home with fresher ingredients and a better attitude. I was nearby, so I decided to give them one last try this evening. Worker literally scribbled through my selections and gave me the sandwich he felt like making, then didnāt tell me about the alterations. I realized the bag and my sandwich were completely wrong when I got home. I called and asked why they made my sandwich incorrectly, and the cashier said āOh yeah, he made it different than how you asked on purpose, so I guess thatās why he changed the bag. You didnāt give us enough money.ā Well if $14 isnāt enough money for the wrong sandwich, then why didnāt they tell me while I was in the store? I gladly would have paid for the sandwich I ordered. Total joke. Iām all for workers being paid a living wage, but Iām afraid that this new standard of job performance is just going to lead to automation. Iām pretty sure a robot could have made my sandwich the way I wanted without being a jerk. In fact, their corporate number is automated and redirects you to the website, so their customer feedback department is already there. If a real manager happens to see this, Iād love...

I compared it to the four or so ounces of meat on my gfs regular 'Italian club' and it was obviously lacking. The 'au jous' (more like watered down beef broth) that came with it was room temperature. When I took it inside the kid working the register said that the meat is weighed out. I asked him how much he thinks the half a slice of meat weighed and he said an ounce and a half...if that's right and the whole regular sized french dip sandwich only has a total of three ounces of roast beef..then that's the weakest rbs I've ever seen. I spent 8 years as a prep cook and I know what an ounce of meat looks like. The kid at the counter made zero effort to rectify the situation. Not to mention the prepubescent boy making the sandwich scowling the entire time. Poor sandwiches, terrible customer service, and no amends...in the future I'll be sure to strongly...
