Growing up as a poor Asian American, I never had the luxury of dining here at CA Pizza.😩
The first time I've ever heard or seen of CA Pizza was from the frozen foods section at grocery stores. 😲🛒🛍🥕🍅
Well, thanks for being in tech sales that dry spell ends t o d a y ! 😬🎉
As I stood in my kitchen thinking about baking the CA frozen pizza I purchased the other day, decided to treat myself out.
"Why not" I thought to myself .. I mean life is short.... . . . . . . . Isn't it? 👀
So0o0o as I went to get my cherry 🍒 popped, I was immediately greeted and guided by my awesome sever Martin.
As a sales professional in the space, I felt like an undercover sales trainer as I waited and watch his movements from body language to deeper dive discovery and to my surprise, Martin definitely passes with flying colors! 🤜💥🤛
"Is this your first time here?" 🔎
"What kind of pizza's do you normally eat?"🔎
"Do you prefer more of meat or veggies?" 🔎
"Martin, I'm more of a mushroom guy but heard a lot of The Works which is what I'd love to try today."
"You got it Jax!" - Martin stated.
Then here comes the u p s e l l. 💯⏫
"Jax, as this is you're first time here the last thing I'd like is for you to walk out not being able to try all of the pizza's you'd like.
Given you just bought an entree, we have a special Take'N Bake where you take it home for only $5. This way you'd get the best of both worlds, how does that sound?"
😲 S O L D ! ✅
💯👌
Martin, my man. That's sales baby, good job and thanks for taking care of me.
It's consistent services like this that the world needs. 🌍
This is my 2nd official review on Google, if you find this helpful please give it a thumbs up so I may know to pump more content!
Thanks!

Read moreWhat has happened to CPK? Our server Noah was the best thing about the place. The wild mushroom pizza was boring the crust was lacking in much memorable flavor. Toppings were mild and we added shrimp because they got rid of the shrimp garlic scampi pizza. Overall pizza was 5/10. The shrimp scampi zucchini ribbon pizza was lacking any flavor in the sauce even though things were in the pasta. It tasted like mac and cheese without the cheese. Can’t believe how bad this pasta dish was despite asking for extra garlic. It feels like this chain is in it for the stockholder profits at this point. Nobody from management eats here regularly to see how the food is. I asked for the manage and he was a temporary manager who listened and seemed to care but I know he’s isn’t going to do anything to improve the quality. It feels like they have cheapened the ingredients and made the preparation so simple that anyone can make a pizza so they don’t pay them well to make a delicious pizza. Super disappointed and only 3 stars because of our server otherwise would be 1 star. Avoid CPK unless you like boring chain food that is getting less flavorful by the year. Sorry to say this about CPK used to love gong here. The manager took the shrimp scampi dish off our bill because we only had a few bites but wow someone from management with tastebuds should secret shop this location and try the food made by different cook staff. Maybe we got unlucky because we asked to extra garlic or staff just screwed up but it’s likely the ingredients and the prep that have been minimized so profits for shareholders can be maximized. Olive garden was a little bit better only because of the salad and breadsticks. Even CPK bread is...
Read moreCostco is selling California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) gift cards at a 20% discount, two $50 gift cards (total value $100) for just $79.99. We decided to use them for a friend’s birthday and checked out their weekday Happy Hour from 3–6 PM at Huntington Beach location.
CPK is a well-known chain with solid dishes, and their BBQ Chicken Pizza is a signature item that combines tangy BBQ sauce with a classic pizza base. During Happy Hour, we ordered: • Spicy Buffalo Chicken – $8 • Dynamite Shrimp – $8 • 7” BBQ Chicken Pizza – $9 • 7” Pepperoni Pizza – $9
We also tried a couple of regular menu items: • Kung Pao Spaghetti – $21.99 This dish was super interesting — it’s Kung Pao Chicken but made with spaghetti, giving it a texture similar to stir-fried noodles. Pricey but tasty and creative. I might even try recreating it at home! • Mini Butter Cakes – $14.75 • Cucumber Reviver – $3.99 • Fresh Strawberry Mango Cooler – $3.99
The total used up both gift cards, and they even let us pay the tip with them. Service was excellent, the staff was attentive, and they offered freshly grated cheese after serving the dishes.
The restaurant was also clean and had that polished feel you’d expect from a big chain.
This Bella Terra Mall location has outdoor seating and a bar area, making it a relaxed spot whether you’re dining alone or with friends. As a sweet surprise, they offered the birthday guest a complimentary ice cream sundae (worth $4). It’s a great place for casual hangouts or celebrations. Definitely will be back.
