We stopped in there to get dinner after taking our son trick or treating and after 2 hours we are home. First the computers crashed and no one knew how to use the portable credit card machine (another customer had to show them how to use it) but Lam the server knew how to do math is what she kept saying. Second the waterier Julio and server Lam where very rude to the 1 cook they had on Eddie. The cook was trying to cook all the food by himself and the so called manager was no where in sight. When I was a server at Denny’s the management had to know every aspect of the job and would jump in and help the cooks when needed. My son accidentally split his water and the busier was nice enough to clean off the whole table for us. That was about the only helpful thing Julio did for us. My son never received a new water and we had to flag down another server just to get a refill on my husbands drink. There was no checking on us at all. The server Lam kept saying it was so busy and there was maybe 6 tables full. Lam was rude and aggressive towards the cook and another customer who was an old lady just trying to give the cook a Halloween treat because she saw him working so hard. I love going to Denny’s but I will never step foot in the Denny’s again. When I told the manager how she was acting towards the cook and that if she was my employee she would not have a job. The manager took her kinda to the side and told her what I said Lam went and told Julio that I just complained about her and who was I to say anything. She had to of known I could hear her but still did not seem to care. Then she asked the cooks because another cook showed up to make sure to put her food separate from the other food and place it on the tray for her. They were trying to catch up at that point. She also told them to use their heads and image it in their brains. We paid over 80 dollars to have bad service and watch a server verbally attack a cook and a fellow customer. I don’t know if the manager and server are related but that is what it seemed like. It seemed like the manager did not care what I had to say. She was not wearing a name tag either. I know it is Denny’s policy for all employees including managers to wear a name tag. We tipped Eddie the cook 10.00 dollars since he was the only one really working....
Read moreDenny's overall rating: 5 stars This store's overall rating: 4 stars My latest visit to this store: 3 stars There had to be a dozen people working at this location. At least 4 of them made eye contact with me before someone (I'm assuming the manager) sent a waitress to the front desk to seat me. Everything was rushed after that. I didn't get the feeling that I was wanted here. My order was the sirloin and eggs breakfast. I ordered the eggs scrambled soft (easy). They were hard. I ordered the steak rare. It was a good rare, but was scorched. I ordered sourdough toast. I got pancakes. I had to ask for napkins. The waitress made a big deal about them being right in front of me. (On the counter, which was nowhere near my seat at a table.) I like to sit and allow the food to settle before paying and heading out. I was rushed out because of a "new policy" that they want people to come in, eat, and leave instead of sitting. I looked around at that time. Despite being at reduced capacity due to COVID 19 restrictions, most of the "usable" tables were unoccupied. I'm sure it wouldn't have hurt anyone or anything for me to relax for a bit. If things got busy and the table was needed, I had no problem leaving. I doubt I'll be eating at this location again until well after the pandemic panic ends. UPDATE: Still getting the feeling I'm not wanted, even after COVID restrictions are gone. I have a growing $h!+list of Denny's locations that don't measure up. This one is being added...
Read moreDenny’s is synonymous with the “cheap American breakfast”. So, when you go to Denny’s, you already have a preconceived notion that your meal, well, isn’t sitting on the Michelin star-rating quality. But, lately they have taken cheap to a whole new level. The meat, aka bacon, steak and sausage, have taken a taste and mouth feel that is almost unreal. The eggs almost seem worthy of a M.A.S.H unit outfit during the Korean War. The pancakes have lost their loving feeling, aka fluffiness and buttery goodness notes. The coffee, well, that’s a story in of itself. $3.79 for a cup of convenience store quality coffee, hard pass. The water, unfiltered and hard tap water was actually billed and listed on receipt as Tap Water. The biscuits and graveyard looked like SOS from a WW2 era rationing stored in the back somewhere. One of the sausages was overcooked and had a strange chemical taste, not a fan of that at all. The bacon had a fake smoke flavor to it and was not crispy nor bacon flavored at all. Strange flavor complex and mouth-feel. The nachos looked like chips that had a running mystery meat and sauce poured over top and a few cheese sprinkles drizzled on top for kick and giggles. Overall, the food, NOT bringing us back for sure! The service was great from a waiter named Santos, who was friendly, courteous and seemed to like his job. Placed looked clean and inviting. Not the best experience, but not the...
