I've been here three times and each time was unpleasant.
The last and final time today, I politely requested to speak with a manager outside discretely to give him a courtesy heads up on everything happeningwithin the facility, but showed absolutely ZERO empathy or care regarding our overall satisfaction. The manager offered to cover my bill which i declined. He asked what i was hoping for then, which i said simply to bring awareness to the cleanliness and sanitation of the facility. His response, "Well, you're only one of the few people who have complained recently. So..."
So now I'm giving my experience to the public.
My silverware wrapped in my napkin were both filthy with food on them as if they've not been washed.
My breakfast plate portions were a joke. My eggs came out cold, absolutely no warmth to them, as well as my potatoes. My sausage came out lukewarm at best.
My glass of water out with someone's lipstick on the glass with food particles in the glass. Then I received a new glass and went to pour water from the craft into my new glass and food particles were swirling around inside the water pitcher.
The seats where were sat was the furthest wall from the entrance on a two seater. Between our seats were food particles covered in mold, trash from peoples straws papers, napkins, and misc trash, etc.
After expressing our concerns, other employees had started to commitment how the sanitation has declined since the remodel. That people have been complaining but the store is doing nothing about it and requested we speak with mgnt locally and to reach out to corporate to ensure they get it corrected. That'll be my next step with the photos taken.
Hope this helps in your food...
Read moreWe came in for breakfast for my Aunt's birthday. We were asked how many people and proceeded to wait in the waiting area for about 5 min, which is normal. But after we were seated it took about 15 min for Server 1 to come ask if we had been helped yet, and get our drink order. We all had our menus down, so it looked like we were ready to order, but the server just took our drink order and left. Within 5 min two other servers came and asked if we had been helped. Server 2, we told that someone had come to get our drinks, but we were ready to order food. They got our food order. Server 3 came shortly after.
Food was served very fast, under 10 min. However, the eggs and hashbrowns were VERY greasy, and 1 of my 3 pancakes was undercooked.
Once we had finished eating, we were patiently waiting for about another 10 to 15 minutes before Server 2 came to ask if we wanted anything more and noticed my mom didn't eat much of her omelet. We told her because it was so greasy, she couldn't eat it. Thankfully, Server 2 was nice and took that off our order. It then took another 5 to 10 minutes for Server 2 to come with the boxes we asked for and our receipt.
All in all, it looks like the servers are a disorganized mess and you either dont have server zones and/or you filled more tables than you had servers for. Now I may not be a restaurant specialist, but even i can tell you should really set each server with specified tables they help, with little to no overlap. Those avoid the long wait times and server mixup. If a server is getting behind, one other less-busy server can assist. Second, use less oil/butter on the eggs. Less greasy eggs are so much better.
Just wanted to give some...
Read moreWe had not been to Polly's for years, so we decided to give it a try. We walked in and were greeted and seated right away. The first booth we were taken too had a couple dead flies and a live one buzzing around the window. We asked to be moved, we settled on a booth that had the sunshade down, so these flies were on the other side of it. (Why so many flies???) The hostess brought us some water then we waited.....for longer than it should have taken. We looked around and saw 5 employees, including the manager, Lynette, just standing around chatting with eachother. My daughter got up and walked over to ask if we could get some help and they all looked at her like they didnt understand what she wanted. The manager should have kicked into action and came over to see what we needed, but she just stood there. Off in the corner we noticed a server, Phil, running around taking care of a few tables, as well as the busser (these two seemed to be the only ones interested in customer service) he came over and sincerely apologized for the wait and proceeded to take our order. We let him know that we noticed how busy he was and that noone else seemed to be doing anything, he graciously smiled. He was great, very friendly, kindhearted, and helpful. We got our pie order and honestly the pie was just ok, equal to defrosted, frozen, grocery store pie. Needless to say we will not be returning to Polly's, which is kind of sad as it was once a great little coffee shop. I would like to note that as a manager, you set the example for your employees. To have great or even good service you need a leader, not a boss. The highlight of our visit was meeting Phil, he made us smile....
