Sadly, I had a bad experience having lunch at the bar. The location is fantastic so that's why it's so disappointing to have the experience that I that continued to worsen the longer I was there. I ordered water, menu & margaritas. My waitress Lisa took at least 10 min to return bringing my drink but forgetting the water and menu. I continue to try to get her attention for another 8 minutes she finally returned and I said can I please have a menu in water? Didn't really like the margarita, but I didn't want to re=order because it might take another 10 minutes. A couple sit down beside me and I mentioned to order now because it might take a while. I was ignored and I finally had to waive the waitress over saying can I please order? Lisa the waitress never came back to check on me after my food was delivered nor did she offer me any silverware setup, clearly she was an inexperienced waitress... The couple next to me was making note of all of this. So it finally came down to get the bill and again I had to flag her down.... Couldn't find her so I just laid my credit card on top of the bar in front of me. Distracted and talking to the couple sitting next to me I've turned at one point and looked and saw my credit card was gone... And I just said out loud where's my credit card did she take it? I noticed that Lisa was at the register and was charging a credit card that looked like mine on the terminal... Wait for it.... Lisa comes back to the bar... And presents my credit card and a bill to the couple next to me ! She charged my credit card for $98.97 presented the bill to the couple. Unbelievable ! She put all 3 of us one bill and I didn't even know the couple, just talked to them when is sit beside me at Sandy's! When I explained to Lisa the waitress what she done she had a look of shock on her face and then tried to blame it on another server.... I asked her to bring the manager over and I spoke to him. I love this place I probably will be back but I'm going to watch out for Lisa and anybody else reading this comment needs to watch out for her as well. It's too bad that a restaurant with such potential has an employee that provides such...
Read moreAlright this was an interesting but overall great experience!
We arrived and were seated immediately as requested on a window view looking out towards the beach! We got our drinks (water) placed with our server Krista not sure how to spell her name tbh.
We got our drinks and it took about 10 minutes before we saw our waitress to take our orders, she did look busy. Then we placed out order: Sword fish tacos, fish n chips, and a *Cup of clam chowder. You may ask why the asterisk, well I was served the bowl in the sourdough bread which normally I dont order sour dough just because I’ve never liked it. The kitchen staff told me they would mention it and have them charge me for the cup which was a difference of $7. I ate it and OMG, It is incredible, including the bread, yes I said it the sourdough bread is amazing at this restaurant. We are for about 25-30 minutes and I’m not kidding you our waitress never showed to check on us perhaps because I didn’t make eye contact to ask for anything but we just were not checked on which was a first in my dining experience. Not to mention we observed her drinking at the bar.. not sure how that works but that’s not for me to comment further on. When she noticed we were done she made her way back to ask us for dessert and we declined asking for our ticket to find that we were charged in full for the clam chowder. I told her that I ordered the cup with her and she said she would tell the manager Scott whom came to our table to tell us “she placed the order in front of you” which was on a handheld device so I didn’t know I was suppose to verify my own order, maybe a simple read back would be smart. After I told him what I ordered and received I informed him I loved it! And I would gladly pay for it, I just didn’t specifically order that because than it would have been too much food! He then was very polite and went to change the price which took him 15 minutes to do due to POS issues he tried 3 computers, and finally waived the charge. I thanked him and we moved on. My point is the time was not worth it for the $7 but then we enjoyed the fire pit as we waited and honestly would come back every...
Read moreThe worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. I've been a server for years and the manager here was the worst human being I've ever run across. We waited for over 2 hours for a table for 7, and was told it would be 35-45 minute wait. Granted it was a busy weekend but we all patiently waited in a corner table outside with some drinks from the bar. After being told we could sit by the fire the manager then told us they could only fit 6 people and prompted us to leave or wait for the one other table if 8 who had just gotten seated, so at least another 60 minute wait. The hostesses told us from the beginning we could sit with a group of 7 at the fire pit then the manager told us we couldn't all sit there because he wouldn't supply enough chairs for our party and didn't give us any options to eat there so basically got kicked out after waiting 2 hours to be seated. The manager was not willing to find us another spot, our group was more than willing to move but the manager told us there was no spot for 7 people. The manager was both rude and not willing to help us out as we were starving after waiting two HOURS after being told a 34-45 minute wait for a group of 7. I would not support this business as their manager was truly a horrible human being and treated us like absolute garbage after both spending money at their restaurant and waiting two hours. We were not a rowdy group and I will say the bartenders were great and helpful.
Trust me and stay clear of this place. Horribly run with even worse management, I've never felt so poorly treated at a place of business. I wish I could remember the name of the manager but he had horribly died hair and probably...
