John's Drive-In Hamburgers — Restaurant in Huntington Park

John's Drive-In Hamburgers is a well know restaurant in Huntington Park many of my friends including co workers were telling me I need go to John's Drive in. That's what my wife and I did go to John's Drive in Hamburgers and try the food. We have been to this location not at John's the restaurant across the street Avila'sEl Ranchito Mexican restaurant another great restaurant. We walk in the restaurant we were looking at menu display and decided what to order my wife order the hamburger Jr combo then I order the pastrami combo.

They call our number I pick up our food and bring to our table my pastrami look delicious and took a bite the pastrami have a good texture of the meat but the pastrami was Grill I like my pastrami juicy tender and wet that hold the flavors of the pastrami grill it lose it true tradition flavor of the pastrami.

The bread was ok they use lots of mustard disguise the flavor of the pastrami over powering the flavor use the pickles. I did enjoy the pastrami but I'm a traditional pastrami loving guy who enjoy a good pastrami. I enjoy the fries they good but my wife was disappointed about the hamburger Jr it didn't no lettuce or tomato in some restaurants they add lettuce and tomato on their hamburger Jr. Overall the food was good everyone have their own preference what they like. This is a fast food joint of the highest caliber. I walked into this place by chance one day when the restaurant across the street was too busy. Let me tell you, it left me pleasantly surprised. When it comes to restaurants of this kind having good fries is a litmus test and John's has delicious fries. Secondly, the food must mostly be good. Here again John's passes the test. Not only is most of their food good, most of it is down right delicious. Thirdly, a restaurant like this must have a varied menu which this one does. They have great burgers and fries as expected but they also have delicious sandwiches (my favorite being the ribeye steak sandwich), clam chowder bun, Thrifty's ice cream, fried chicken, salads, pastas, breakfast, lunch, and dinner items. The final test for places like this is that the prices must be cheap, and John's delivers here as well. They even give you a $5 discount coupon on your next purchase of $15 or more, which...

What an incredible and unexpected delight! I randomly selected this location as it was close to my workspace for the day and man oh man was I impressed.

Cashier was very warm and helpful—and quickly told me which meal was better out of the two I considered—she recommended the Chicken Club Sandwich. (I had been thinking of that or the burger melt).

10 minutes later I had in front of me a hefty (I hate small meals—I eat a lot)and fresh looking meal—PLUS a bounty of fries, some onion rings, and fried zucchini. That’s not all—aside from my surprise of its aesthetic—it was INCREDIBLE.

Fresh avocado, lettuce, tomato and who knows what else—sandwich led marvelously between the toast and tastes sublime. Similarly—the fries has the perfect ratio between fried, crispy, and potato—y, with a great flavor.
