Oh Del Taco, how I've missed thee. I grew up down the street from a corporate location in Cypress,CA. I worked for one as a cook in Lake Elsinore, CA. I've been to dozens of locations in my lifetime and hold Del Taco as one of my childhood favourite places to eat... As well as one of my favourite places well into my adulthood. I have travelled hours out of my way, just for an opportunity to hit by one. I Love Del Taco.
The location was slammed, which is expected of any new food place, and it was tasty, cause it's Del Taco.
But your cashier was very much of a 'Next customer please' mindset which was off-putting, and the food wasn't to temp. If I take the time to eat my fries first (which were Almost Perfect, just a little more salt and probably a few more seconds in the fryer) my burrito shouldn't be lukewarm to the touch. I understand what happened, like I said, I was a cook, so watch them temp times guys.
Secret menu item: Ask for a bun taco next time you're in! (Dunno if they do them out here, but they're an interesting experience...

She said they give three scoops, so I asked, where is it in this burrito? She proceeded to say, I don’t know, I didn’t make it.
She did wind up giving me a small guacamole on the side but this will be my last visit to Del Taco because there are better places for the same, if not lower price, and...
Read moreFood was ok. Atmosphere was nice. Definitely not the DT from my teen years. Got to the front counter and basically had to coax the csr Samyra to take my order. She just looked at me and didn't say two words until I was paying her. She wasn't rude but needs to be trained to interact with customers as is her job. Why do restaurants always put the worst untrained employees on the front counter to "greet" the customers? Del Taco is fully aware that the First Point of Contact is the MOST important and first impressions mean everything to a new customer. You can do better. Drove across town to visit. Maybe I'll give it another try if they...
