Coming in to this place for my sons Bday party for the first time, we didnt kno what to expect. We figured we were gonna have normal bad service that you get these days, but let me tell you. Pressish was our party planer/ helper and she was amazing taking care of us from the moment we walked in.. she got our name and told us she was our party helper and from that point on we had the best party experince. We have always thrown parties for our kids but this was by far! The best and easiest, and i believed it had to do with that young lady who was just as Precious as her name. Pressish took care of all members in our party giving what ever they needed and even had our Bday boy happy and smiling, dancing with him, talking to him, and Playing lazer tag with us. My son had a good time and im sure felt like a king., OTHER PARENTS HAD A GOOD TIME. They loved her!!! They said she was soo good...she made sure we had drinks for kids at bowling. Pretty much i think she has the best customer sercive i have seen in a long time. She needs alot of recongnition and i hope Main Event knows she is a great employee that loves her job and takes care of her people. I wish yall knew how many adults in my party all agreed. This one comment isnt enough but im glad im able to do it. She deserves it. But as far as all the staff.. they are all good i mean we did run in alot of others that was good.. and also had mess up with out pizzas.. but that mistake was quickly recovered by the managment team, Jake and Chris, who also was good at there jobs and helpped out. All in all., i recommend Main Event for Bday parties! And Recommend Pressish as your party...
Read moreFirst off, I will say Main Event has good food but not staff.
For starters, me & my spouse went to went out to grab a bite from their kitchen section after seeing the bar was packed. We were seated about 5 minutes after sitting at the host booth, once seated it took us a solid 20 minutes to hear from our server who was clearly overwhelmed ( understandable, it’s a party night ). Aniya took our order; mozzarella sticks, burger jr, ( asked for adult size ), one glass of wine & one cup of water.
Another 20 minutes goes by, we have our food. The mozzarella sticks were obviously reheated due to sitting too long which caused them to come out burnt & the burger was a kids burger. Still, no drinks.
Pressing forward, she asks how the food was, I give a thumbs up & she ignores my partner &linen proceeds to walks away. When we asked for a manager, we asked for our check & to make sure I wasn’t charged for a double classic. 3 minutes go by, the server then comes to the table, keep in mind I still have not received my WATER I asked for at least 45mins ago. She then laughs in our face & grabs a to go water which took an additional 10mins.
We get our tab & see we were fully charged for a double chassis instead of a Burger Jr on top of being rushed out of our seats.
There was never an apology nor was there any reconciliation for our disastrous night & customer service from the server.
Update: I have submitted the ticket online through the link that was listed by the owner under this review, but no one has reached out or said anything about this. I will not be revisiting this...
Read moreSince my original review at the pre-opening of the Main Event, we have come back many times to let the kids play games and for a couple Birthday parties. The kids really enjoy playing games here, to include laser tag. The service has gotten better and they have security at the door in the evening and it's a safe place for kids to play and parents/adults to hang out.
This visit to the (new) Main Event on 19FEB22 was a free trial event with my Daughter, as a Gold Star Family. All the employees are brand new and very young. "The Main Event" itself is very large (took up the space that Toys R Us and The Halloween store previously occupied at Bridgestreet) and looks awesome, with a full service bar, many full size bowling lanes with multiple projector, large screen TVs (at the end of the lanes), laser tag, a nice sized arcade section, and full service kitchen/eating area. One side of the eating area is for large Birthday parties.
They even have a small rope bridge style, obstacle course above the arcade for older kids and adults.
The trial visit was very crowded and they allowed us to participate in each section for a set amount of time before moving our designated group to the next section. We were given 2 and a 1/2 hours to participate in everything and although the food and visit was free, it seemed a little disjointed and short on time but one can't complain with free. I'm sure once it gets up and running and they work out the kinks and modify building attendance, then visitors will be able to enjoy their experience and spend extra time in the section...
