My largest complaint was the pricing. We ordered 3 rolls. The Picasso, Las Vegas, and the coconut shrimp roll. Each one of these rolls were over $20 each. I am well aware that sushi is considered more of a premium meal and higher prices are to be expected. Also aware that location matters. So these prices seemed reasonable until we received our food. The coconut shrimp roll had 5 pieces and was very poorly filled, especially the two end pieces. For $4 a piece, I expected more. The Las Vegas roll had six pieces and the Picasso had 8, which made the price marginally more palatable. To be fair, the food was pleasing but the price was outlandish. I

We had reservations for 6:30 and our table was ready for us when we arrived. The restaurant never filled all the way up although there were people waiting to be seated when we arrived and when we left -- I'm assuming they are probably understaffed here. Our waiter did an excellent job despite being, I'm sure, overwhelmed. He was apologetic about the wait time for our food (though it really only took maybe a few minutes longer than I felt it should have, so no big deal there) as well as them being out of calamari. He kept our drinks topped off and struck the right balance of present and accommodating without hovering. I didn't catch his name, but he was great!
The ambiance is classy but not super formal. The music selection for the night cracked me up as it was all over the place -- from Megan Thee Stallion and Ariana Grande to classic rock groups. I enjoyed a view into the semi-open kitchen. I always enjoy watching the chefs work, so that was fun for me.
We ordered the spicy shrimp tempura as an appetizer. I didn't have any as I don't like shellfish much, but the table enjoyed it. It was a fairly small serving size for $18, which I felt was a theme throughout the night, but I guess that's to be expected at Bridge Street.
For our meals, the table ordered Korean bbq ribs, KG sliders, the lemon garlic penne, glazed salmon, and the filet. Everyone seemed happy with their food, especially fiancé and his dad, who both got the Korean bbq ribs.
I enjoyed the filet with miso whipped potatoes and Parmesan Brussels sprouts. I think the sprouts were fried and glazed with something sweet - they were tasty, though a couple of the larger ones were a tiny bit underdone for my preference. The serving of potatoes was very small but tasty, though I didn't get any miso flavor. My filet came in two small cuts; I ordered it medium and one cut was medium rare and the other medium well. Both were tender and enjoyable, though I could've used a little more seasoning or a marinade or something because they weren't quite flavorful enough for me.
Still, I had a nice dinner and am glad I went. This is a good birthday / graduation / date night type of place if you don't want quite the bill of a super high-end place. Kudos to the service who did well under...
Read moreI have been coming to Huntsville for several years on business (probably 4-6 times a year at minimum). During a three-four day trip I go to Bridge Street at least once. Usually I go to one of three places, Kona Grill, Connor's, or Bravo. After tonight, that list is down to two. I went with three co-workers and we were seated promptly by the hostess. Two of us arrived early and each ordered a draft. I ordered my preference and it was available, however my co-worker ordered his and was told they were out, so he ordered the next one in line. When our other co-workers arrived, one asked for whatever IPA they had on draft. The server, Manny (who was great) said they were also out of IPA's. Our fourth ordered a margarita. The drinks took about 10 minutes to get to the table. When we ordered the initial round, we ordered 2 appetizers (they took about 20-30 mins to come out). We all ordered our entrees and sat for the longest time talking. The entrees finally came out (40 mins +) and mine was med-well while I asked for med-rare, my co-workers steak was med and he asked for well. He had also asked for a side of brussels. They came out uncooked (warmed at best) and had a balsamic poured on them to disguise the fact they were uncooked. I ordered a second beer of the same as I had, they ran out. My co-worker ordered a second beer and it took 20 minutes before he got it. I have complained to management one other time in my life about a restaurant (just letting you know I am not a Karen) and normally tolerate sub-par service. Once everyone had finished eating, my correct steak came out so I rushed it down. AFTER I paid the check, I asked for the manager. There is a large 6000-8000 people trade show in town this week and I wanted to advise her of the service level and hoped to help her be prepared for the next few days. When I explained all of the issues, she started to explain she was short staffed... I let her know, I didn't care about her being short staffed as I was paying $300+ for our meals and would expect that she would be prepared for a half-full dining room, regardless if it took 2 people or 20. I further advised her that I could not take customer's there, if this was the level of service they should expect. She made no concessions, only I'm sorry, not a great response to an unsatisfied group of customers. If you fail to plan,...
