Food: very dry lacked flavor only saving grace was home fries were well seasoned
Atmosphere: quiet no music not great for start to day
Service: I felt that my server Je’Naum did not treat me with the same value she treated other people she waited on. She also instead of just up charging me an item for four dollars 50 cents gave me a six dollar plus tax to go item instead trying to make it seem like that was the better idea. I told her coffee was overly bitter and I did not drink mine and she didn’t show care or take off bill either but treated other customers sitting all the way on other side with a smile laughs and grin. She paid more attention to getting herself and workers cups for drinks they decided to make for themselves then her one customer (me) I believe this was due to me being in a beanie and shirt and oversized pants because she looked me up and down and already acted like she thought less of me but I had a $20 cash tip waiting for my server today because today was a hard morning for me and I could’ve appreciated good service but instead I left her no tip as I didn’t feel valued and I was charged extra $1.50 for no logical reason.
Other info: instead of keeping my biscuit free of charge with meal and giving me my $1.99 pancake add on to meal and $2.50 side of gravy to equal $4.50 add on total —— I was charged $7 for a pancake (PC) up charge from biscuit when that should’ve been free and charged for Togo biscuit and gravy full order cost of $5.99 before tax- my server knew what she was doing she was trying to make total higher to get higher tip at normal tip out % - she did this selfishly
Also my omelette was extremely dry and had barely any cheese even after paying extra for more cheese (2 different types) and I had 4 small pieces of avocado - it was remade but the egg inside that was folded up was overcooked and I just took rest of it to go as I was upset.
Pics show: very little cheese and a few small pieces of a single avocado strip making it dry before remake Other pic shows the name of server...
Read moreI liked Eggs Up Grill when I tried their Madison location I guess a year or two ago now. I'm glad they've joined us on the Huntsville side of things. :)
Located on Four Mile Post near the Peppered Pig (my beloved), this restaurant has been pretty popular for breakfast, brunch, and lunch since opening. I visited with my mom a little over a week ago to catch up.
We arrived at around 10:30 on a Thursday to a restaurant about 30% full. We were greeted and allowed our choice of seating -- we opted for a small booth by a sunny window.
Our waitress was very pleasant and bubbly and happy to accommodate our few specifications/requests (e.g. bacon instead of ham in my bowl). My one complaint about service is that it took a while to get our check, but the restaurant was picking up in business, so it's all good.
The interior is cute and sunshiney and the women's bathroom was clean.
My mom got a standard breakfast of two over-easy eggs, home fries, bacon, and toast. Although it was a simple breakfast, everything was executed perfectly, from the nicely crisped bacon to the just-runny-enough eggs. She thoroughly enjoyed it. Note that they butter the toast for you -- she assumed they didn't and got a handful of smear trying to butter it herself, lol.
I got the same thing I got when I tried the Madison location, a sort of southwest home fry bowl. It comes with a healthy heap of home fries, eggs cooked your choice (scrambled for me), pepperjack cheese, peppers and onions, jalapeños, and a side cup of sour cream and salsa. Mom inspired me with her toast so I nabbed a side of raisin toast. It was sweet and cinnamony. This version of the southwest bowl didn't hit quite as hard as the one I had in Madison. Not sure what it was -- maybe a different, more cilantro-y salsa, or maybe the jalapeños were more vinegary than spicy? This is not to say I didn't enjoy it, though; the eggs were still cooked nicely and I was happy overall with my meal.
This would be a good place to take your family, have a small work or mentorship gathering, etc. Give them a try for a more straightforward but, imo, better prepared breakfast than comparable...
Read moreI’m leaving this review in hopes in reaches the owner because overall i don’t think this is a terrible establishment. However, the encounter we had today deterred us from dining there and we will not be re-visiting. We arrived to eat brunch after church (10/26/25) in the rain with our 2 young daughters who were excited because we rarely dine out. When we approached the hostess stand to put our name on the list, the young brunette woman working today abruptly told us “well it will be at least 30 minutes.” I replied saying that was fine, we didn’t mind a brief wait. She immediately replied “well then it’ll probably be at LEAST another hour before you get food once its ordered because we are short staffed.” It was like she didn’t want our business and was over how busy her shift was and wanted to deter customers. Well if that was was her wish, she got it. I politely said to my husband “i guess they don’t want more customers today” and we left again in the rain. To the owner, this young lady who worked the morning hostess shift on 10/26/25 really did you or your business no favors today. I know this industry is hard right now with staffing, but a “we would love to serve you, but we may be running a little behind today” would have kept me there. We won’t be back. Here’s to hoping the owner sees this addresses his/her staff because i suspect they have no idea how uninviting this hostess made the restaurant to likely many patrons today. I don’t recommend due to sub average...
