Two days ago my boyfriend, my friend, and I went to Field Day in Huntsville. When you sit outside, no one waits on you, you order through a QR code and they just bring it out. That’s the only interaction.
My friend ordered her food, then I ordered mine and my boyfriend’s together. We waited and waited, and around the 40-minute mark we overheard another table complain. Someone finally came out and said there had been a glitch in the system and six orders got deleted, and that they were working on it. Despite them knowing about the mistake and updating that table, no one ever came over to let us know.
We waited another 20 minutes after that with still no word. Since there’s no staff outside, my boyfriend finally had to go up to the bar just to get ahold of someone. The woman there said it wasn’t really her job but she guessed she could check, and rolled her eyes. We don’t blame her, but it definitely could’ve been handled differently considering there was no one else around to help.
Another 20 minutes went by with no update, and meanwhile we saw other people getting their food. Finally someone came out again, repeated the issue with the deleted tickets, and offered free desserts. She gave me and my friend one but didn’t even ask my boyfriend — even though the large table next to us, who had complained earlier when their orders were also deleted, all got desserts.
About 10 minutes later we finally got our food — an hour and a half after ordering. I left a custom tip of $0 because of the experience. My emailed receipt shows no tip, but when I checked my bank statement, an extra $6 was added. It’s not a big amount, but it’s the principle.
Not to mention, three of the mini golf holes were out of service. On its own that wouldn’t have been a big deal since they’re a new business, but stacked on top of the food situation it was frustrating. Then when we did axe throwing, we paid for three people, but the system only registered two players. On top of that, the game system kept shutting off and restarting.
The one positive was the guy walking around in the axe throwing area — he was helpful, offered to get us whatever we needed, and was great. We tipped him and appreciated his service.
Overall though, between the food situation, the lack of communication, the billing issue, and the equipment problems, it really soured the visit. I hope they work on these issues, because right now I...
Read moreAwesome outdoor sports viewing area, excellent atmosphere, ok service, over-priced food. A lot of the games ARE expensive, but mostly in line with what you probably should expect. I feel the golf and darts are definitely overpriced. For example, a mini golf experience at a tourist driven beach is literally half and has better courses. I think it would be nice to discount the per person price to promote group play. I love the atmosphere. Probably a great place to catch your favorite game. 1 justification for the prices is definitely the atmosphere. Why is Disney expensive? A great atmosphere is expensive to maintain. I only had a sandwich myself, but no one in our party was impressed with the food. I definitely felt I got about half the value for what I ate. The cole slaw is probably the worst cole slaw I've ever eaten (but I was hungry lol). Tasted like it had blue cheese in it. It probably didn't, but I hate blue cheese, so something about it stuck out. I did like the Toast QR order system. It is true some servers dropped and left without asking if we needed anything. Some did, some didn't. I worked in the restaurant biz. Could be some of them aren't servers but just helping get the food out. I think an average score is fair. I'd love to see this place succeed as its great to have these types of businesses...
Read moreShout out to Kirah and the bar staff - exceptional service and experience. Very friendly, fast drinks, trust them with the Trustfall drink, especially Kirah. Unfortunately we had a terrible experience with table service. We paid for our kids to bowl, assigned a server who was never around. We had 4 adults at the table. He took the order from 2 of us and quickly walked away, didn't come back for 10 minutes. We were out of waters and unable to order additional drinks or food because he was never around. We watched to see if he had other tables and didn't notice he was serving anyone else. He literally was never on the floor. For awareness because our server never told us but if you do the self-serve bracelet for beers, they automatically charge you $3 per band for deposit and the server has to manually remove that charge from your bill. Our server never did this for us so we paid extra. Kirah took care of this for us so we got our deposit money back. We eventually closed out with him and started ordering food/drinks from the bar and received exceptional service. Would love to go back. The atmosphere and activities are amazing, love that we have a place like this in Huntsville. I hope they sort out their staff and...
