Disclaimer: this is a cookie only review! I understand this place is mostly for cake orders. I came by just wanting a sweet treat for dessert for me and my husband later in the evening. The selection isn't super huge here but they do have a couple of sweet treats that aren't speciality order cakes. The first thing I noticed was a container with a large variety of cookies, so I ordered three of them to go. The price was right -- where else can you get a cookie for $1? There were some larger, "fancier" cookies that went for more, maybe $1.75 or $2, that had Reese's cups baked into the top of them. I got myself a peanut butter, husband a chocolate chip, and an additional cookie to share. I wanna say it was called rocky road. It was a chocolate cookie with nuts in it. Service was very busy -- I was surprised at how many folks were hard at work in there! Lady who rang me up was nice and I was in and out quickly, so no complaints there. The cookies themselves were very meh, sadly. The rocky road had an extremely chewy, gritty texture -- in a way that resembled raw cookie dough instead of a chewy cookie. We didn't finish it. The chocolate chip was the best of the three, and it was about average. The peanut butter had good flavor but was very dry and crumbly. I will say my mom has had cakes baked by them in the past at a friend's birthday party, and she remarked it was excellent, so in the future I'll probably stick to cakes here!

We have used them for our kids birthdays for years, but today I was very disappointed. The texting to order has always made me nervous, because it seems like too many ways something could get missed or miscommunications happen. Especially since there are sometimes days between communications. Weeks ago, I confirmed my daughters cake for pickup on Friday (as they confirmed they were closed currently on Saturdays). We went to pickup and was told it was not done and was scheduled for pickup on Saturday. I explained I was told they were closed and had the confirmation of date and they said they had been calling customers, but obviously had not contacted me. They said they could have it done in 30 minutes-1 hour. I left and not quite 15 minutes later received a call saying the cake was ready. We went back and the cake didn’t have ‘Patrol’ on it so it had to be piped on. So we have some fondant lettering and some piped. The top picture is the inspiration picture and the bottom is what we received. I’m so sad because we love their cakes and in the past have really loved them, but this is just extremely disappointing. I appreciate the attempt to fix it and apology, but until there is a more solid form of communication and confirmation of orders I don’t think we will feel confident in using them again.

We stopped by today to check out their selection and to get a few tasty treats, I was rather disappointed walking in, because there wasn't really much in their display cases. The staff was rather friendly, I was just expecting a bakery, you know? I was wanting to see all kinds of pastries in the display cases, quite a few cupcakes, a few cakes and maybe some more cookies. Maybe spending close to $40 or so. The only cupcakes they had were a few chocolate, a few strawberry and a few vanilla....honestly, I could get that at Publix or Kroger. But, I didn't know if they just got busy and ran out or were behind in their orders, or heck they could have just had a bad day. We did however wind up getting six cupcakes, they were okay it wasn't really anything to write home about. I have had much better locally and at the grocery stores. We will be giving them another chance in the future, but in my personal opinion, the other competition in the area has them beat by far.

Big lack of communication! Failed to ever tell me they were closed on Sundays. Good thing I decided to call them just to make sure my cake was on track that previous Friday. My husband went to pick the cake up that Saturday and brought it home. I open the box only to see that the plaque was never even put on. I had no clue how to get it to stick and the topper was not on there or in the box! I called immediately and nobody picked up so I assume they probably left for the day since it was 10 minutes till closing but I left a message asking that somebody please call me ASAP because I had no topper, and I wanted to see what the best way to stick the plaque on would be. Nobody ever called me back or even followed up with me that Monday. Again if you’re closed on Sunday and the cake is needed on Sunday you should state it on the receipt tell them or call and tell them but no phone calls were ever made to me. And if you’re not going to supply or make the topper that shown on the picture of the cake then you should call them or let the customer know they will have to provide the topper. ( I assumed they were going to make it out of fondant. It was just a simple mustache for a little man shower cake )I was already stressed out trying to get the shower put together and now I had to run all over town and buy supplies to make this topper for the cake. The thing that disappointed me most was that nobody ever called me back after leaving a message to follow up knowing that I was in a panic and wanted to get back there before they left to get my topper. That is bad customer service...
