I've been a customer at this Firehouse for years, and today had an unbelievable experience that has led to me making the decision to never go to this particular firehouse again. I made an online order that was wrong. Thankfully, I recognized it in the car before leaving and went back in to have it corrected. The bald-headed gentleman that works in the back noticed me and approached me where I informed him that my order was wrong. He asked me the specifics of my order - it was a ham and cheese with no pickle (they had placed a pickle and left off the cheese) - and I repeated the order to him. He was acting irritated that I was there, which of course fed my own irritation at my order being wrong. When he asked again about the specifications (still acting as though my presence was irritating him), I answered him again and pointed to the ticket which specified the order which caused him to snap at me that "it was a mistake" as he kind of threw his hands up leaving me to feel as though I was being rude or unreasonable (I wasn't). This infuriated me, and I raised my voice at him stating that I was the customer and while I understood that it was a mistake, I didn't appreciate nor would I tolerate being spoken to in a disrespectful manner. At which point, he escalated, continuing to repeat himself that I needed to recognize that mistakes happened. It wasn't about my order being wrong - it was entirely about the manner in which I was being spoken to and treated as a customer. He walked away from me, then turned around and tossed the sandwich box (that was open) toward the garbage can that at this point was between us. Luckily, it didn't go everywhere. At this point, I wanted to know who the manager was, and he indicated the ladies at the front who had remained quite throughout this entire scene. I told them I wanted a refund from my online order. The managers repeatedly apologized to me, and I told them that I had been coming there for years, but that today would be my last time ever at...
Read morePlease read…. Sadly we love Firehouse, but we are done with this particular location. We live close and have had issues in the past when placing pick up orders, but today is inexcusable and honestly robbery. Hear me out… We both work at a large hospital and so often at lunch, a group will turn in an order to be picked up. Today a small group placed an order and one from that group went to pick up the orders for everyone. When she arrived, they had prepared all the orders except my wife’s order. In the past we’ve had issues of something not being taken off a sandwich or salad, but today, they just did not make the order. The person picking up the orders realized my wife’s order was not made and she told the person at the counter. She was told the order had not been placed but we have the email copy of the receipt where the food order was placed and paid for. After asking and requesting for it to be made, she was told no. Repeatedly. The person was told that it was paid and there was a receipt emailed, again, she was told no. No checking on it, just no. We are currently in the process of disputing this through our bank for services paid but not delivered. We paid for the food, have a receipt, but we’re told the food would not be prepared. We work at one of the biggest employers in Huntsville, so we will definitely be spreading the word about how cordial and professional this Firehouse establishment has been to us. I guess we expected more from this restaurant but we have learned and will move on. No more Firehouse on...
Read more6/24/22 - Update. I'm upgrading this location for two reasons. First, the sandwich was hot and prepared to order, with a minimal wait for the number of people working. Second, for the number of people working. Friday night and this place had two people making all of the sandwiches. Although they had just gotten a large order ahead of mine, they were still upbeat, polite, and professional.
Original Review: Again. You go to a place that know what they are doing, and yet they get three stars because they don't seem to care about what they are doing. Went here on a Friday night to grab a bite while on shift. Let's start by saying everything was prepared as requested. Three sandwiches, right toppings, nice and hot. That said, when we walked in, both individuals behind hte countre completely ignored us. Not even a hello. One was making sandwiches while the other was talking. After a good two to three minutes the male came over and in the lowest, muffled (yes, I know he was wearing a mask) voice asked what we wanted. We had to ask him "what" multiple times because we couldn't hear anythign he was saying. The whole time, the female kept glancing over with looks that could only be described as "why don't you all just leave." Again, the food was great, but food is only part of...
