I purchased my 1st honey baked, bone in 12 lbs ham this week after hearing how great they were! When I got to the store it was obviously shift change, as the back of house employees were hanging around the behind the counter out front. A young man volunteered to help me since another young lady was busy with another customer. I explained I'd never purchased a ham from them, told him the size I wanted and asked a few questions. He brought me one ham from the back, the foil wasn't closed, it was loose on the front and he showed me the face of the ham. It looked OK and I asked him to cover it in foil so it would be sealed when refrigerated at home. He brought out 2 small pieces of Walmart regular foil and tried to help me make it work. That didn't bother me too much even though I was paying almost 130$ for a ham, he was trying to be helpful. The next day when I attempted to unwrap the ham, it had a 3x4 spot of their "signature crispy glaze" that was adhered to the wrap, that was it, not even on the ham. I called the store and was told that even though that's "not how it's supposed to be" it was still good. The back production manager told the employee I was on the phone with that. When I asked was the manager there the employee said yes that's who said it would be "ok." I asked if I could bring it back for an exchange since the ham wasn't as it should be, and was told no, they'd have to throw it away. So hard to believe this is how they normally do business. I won't be buying another ham from Honey baked hams again. At least not the Huntsville Alabama...
Read moreAbsolutely not even worth the money!! I had put an order for a ham over the phone way in advance before Thanksgiving and the lady elderly lady that was on the phone gave me my order number. So Wednesday I get there I stood in line for an whole hour got to to the counter and was told that my number was not a real order number. I am highly pissed!!! So we told the lady that we put the order in advance and the woman said just because you reserved a ham doesn't guarantee you will have a ham.. That is very bad customer relations I think they should compensate me one for the time I spent out there and two for the lady who gave me this order number she clearly doesn't know what she is doing she needs to be fired!!.. Plus they ran out of ham's to give if you knew that you where going to run out you should have shut the business down and told everyone that we don't have anymore ham's we are gladly to refund you the money or whatever the case may be... It's just not worth it I'm better off buying my own ham. NEVER NEVER EVER!! should you go to this place they don't even deserve one star.. Bad...
Read moreReserved a smoked turkey over a week ago and received confirmation. After standing in line for 2 hours this morning we are informed that they are out of smoked turkeys and only had about 200 hams remaining. All this time people without reserved turkeys are leaving the store all morning. We were informed that we could put our name on a list and if they get in they would call but we would be required to wait in line again which at this point was over 3 hours. Why offer reservations if you are not going to honor them and just let walk-ins get what they want? This is a VERY POORLY managed location. 4 registers available to be used but only two being manned. Line was so long and people getting so upset they had to have a police office manned outside.
Now we have to figure out what to do...
