Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Huntsville

My family and I have been ordering pizzas here for the past 15 years. John, the manager at this Pizza Hut, is an amazing guy with a great personality and attitude. He provides service like no other. Same goes with the high schoolers that work here, amazing joyful people. On January 5, 2024, I had a pickup order my dad instructed me to pick up for a family dinner. Large 3 topping pizzas are almost 15 dollars each, and we had ordered 2. Considering Alabama’s 9% sales tax, at most, the total price for 2 large 3 topping pizzas would come out to be at most $32.70. Rob, the worker that works here that we always run into problems with, charged a little over $42. His $10 overcharge was confirmed by the manager John after my dad had called and complained of the overcharge. John claimed that he couldn’t fire Rob, but if you ever see a bald oval faced clean shaved white guy with almost reddish skin, walk out and come back another day because that’s Rob, and he is a horrible being. Rob is the only obstacle that stops me from eating Pizza Hut, and this is the only Pizza Hut in a 5 mile radius of our house. Everything is perfect about this place, I bet if Rob was fired from this Pizza Hut, the customer satisfaction would rise. Rob’s horrible personality is confirmed by the high school workers, that always ask me to order pizzas there so they can make my pizza, but I simply tell them, “Rob is the only reason I don’t like coming to your work and getting food there.” They all simply say, “Oh, no one likes him, and he’s super racist.” I feel bad writing a horrible review of this place just because of one worker, but Rob needs to get what he deserves, and he deserves to be fired from Pizza Hut. I used to love Pizza Hut. I mean LOVE. Back in the 80s almost every Friday night I was in a Pizza Hut. I remember in the late 80s I was devastated when I found out some franchises didnt take bank cards (debit). I loved Pizza Hut so much that when I was in the Navy I went to the Pizza Hat in Izmir, Turkey because, well, Pizza Hut (or Hat, didnt matter). Over the years I got drawn into boutique, local pizzas and I havent been to a Pizza Hut in probably 10+ years. In fact, the last time I was in a Pizza Hut was when they were offering the unlimited pizza and salad bar for lunch. I walked in one day (Pizza Hut on Governors) , maybe early aughts; the salad bar was bare and the manager told me they wouldnt be restocking (this was at maybe 12:30 - prime lunch hour). I havent been back until tonight (South Pkwy). Maybe I'm wrong, but it sure looked all the same, and it was as dead as ever. We ordered pizza, bread sticks and wings. I dont know what they've done to the cheeze, but its awful. Breadsticks were mediocre. Mild wings had no tang at all and one wing was, I dont know, some mutant version of a chicken wing. It smelled like chicken, but it was this weird mushed up ball of grey meat. Service was average, but the order took slightly longer than I would think it should take. Save your money if you don't want to be disappointed. Pizza Hut used to be the place to go for great pizza but they are definitely not now. I ordered a large super supreme pizza thinking that it would be a nice treat since I haven't had Pizza Hut in years. I was definitely wrong. I spent $30 on the pizza and breadsticks. The pizza barely had any toppings on it, it probably had all of the different toppings that ot was supposed to, just very little of them. Normally, I will open a pizza box before I leave to check it but I was thinking, nah, this is Pizza Hut and it's probably spot on. I wish I would have opened it before I left because I wouldn't have bought it. I didn't realize how much I got ripped off until I got home. I work hard for my money and they should be ashamed to even serve such a sub par pizza like they did. I have decided to chalk it up to a very bad experience and never go there again. I usually get pizza on Friday nights so this was a let down. I will continue to purchase pizza at Little Caesers like I've done for years now with no dissapointments and the pizza is always good with a nice amount of toppings.
