I was very excited to try this new restaurant in Huntsville. The food looked so pretty. Lol! I love superhero movies so the theme of the restaurant appealed to me.
We started with the southern egg roll appetizer and a side of Brussel sprouts. They were both good. I would have liked my sprouts a little more charred and crisp. It had the roasted flavor, but it was a bit soggy. Same with the egg rolls, I would have liked it to be more crispy. The egg rolls had Mac n cheese and chicken. The filling was good. I like crispness in my food.
I ordered the Juggernaut which is a red waffle chicken sandwich with bacon, egg, cheese and a piece of fried chicken strip. It comes with a side of their Maple Heat sauce. The sauce was like a sweet slightly tangy hot sauce that wasn't very spicy. The sandwich was good, but the chicken was very dry and hard to cut through. There was no way I was going to try to take a bite out of this sandwich so I cut it up. The waffle was ok. I like a waffle with a crispy outer layer this was just very dense and a bit on the dry side, the syrup helped and I wish I had accepted when they asked if I needed more. It was a good sandwich, but it would have been a lot better with a juicy fried chicken inside and lighter waffle.
I split my dish with a friend who ordered a smoked salmon sandwich. We were thinking more along the lines of lox , but the sandwich was like a baked salmon with not a lot of smoky flavor and was pretty fishy. I don't mind fishy flavor and wasn't bad, but it wasn't what we were expecting. Couldn't even taste the cheese that was on there the fish flavor was so strong. The highlight of this dish were the fries. Their fries are delicious! I don't usually like curly fries because it tends to have seasoning salt on them, but this was just plain curly fries and were so good! Oh and the fries were crisp!
Price was pretty high. I spent about $30 for the sandwich, drink, Brussel sprouts and tax and tip. I would try again but definitely try something different. There are still other menu items...
Read moreI have ordered from here three times now and I can honestly say they will not get a 4th order from me. The first time I ate here was back in January and the service was slow and food came out at at least 45mins to hour after I ordered. The bar staff appeared new and really didn’t know what to do which was to be expected. However, the kitchen staff in conjunction with the front waiting staff do a lot of playing around and are very inattentive to guests. The second visit I ordered carry out and the food was surprisingly really good compared to first visit. On all three occasions I ordered the Juggernaut which I believe is the red velvet waffle with chicken, eggs, bacon and cheese. The food itself is a cute gimmick especially for kids but that is where the story ends. The first visit back in January and todays visit the Juggernaut lacked flavor and seasoning. It a cute gimmick and perfect photo op but that pretty much it. Nothing savory about my meal and honestly for chicken and waffles $17 isn’t too bad but on both occasions my waffles was cold with the bacon and eggs were warm and the chicken being was hot. There is a lack of consistency and follow through with the wait/bar staff as well as food. This place is okay for kids but for adults I would look elsewhere. It shouldn’t be this difficult to make chicken and waffles and have it come out hot all at one time. Also, You should have a fully functioning bar for morning and brunch. Your mimosa are your selling point on as Saturday and to not have champagne this morning basically left little else to be desired. Lastly, train your bar staff to be actually waiting on guests at the bar and asking if they would like anything else to drink or a refill. I shouldn’t have to ask a host for water or a check. Not worth the hype if all you are doing is providing subpar food...
Read moreUpdate Aug 2025: I had the opportunity to dine in person this morning. Other than the long wait we had to be seating based on what appeared to be a lack of staffing allocations for that area. We had a good breakfast, and the food was as good as I thought it would be when I compare it to the first take out order. Today we had the French toast, with turkey bacon, and potatoes along with the Juggernaut Waffle Sandwich with turkey bacon.
I was in the vicinity of this place and desired brunch and ran across this place. After reviewing their menu, I decided to give them a try. I ordered chicken and waffles, the dish I ordered the Wings and Waffles (deconstructed) and I substituted the waffle for a red velvet waffle. I had plans to eat my meal when I got home but we had another stop to make to pick up my kids' food. Since it was already after 12 and I missed breakfast, I thought I would try one wing to see how it tastes. Then I thought I would try one in the Maple Heat Sauce which was also good (but I was a passenger in my daughter’s car, and I did not want to make a mess, so I stopped dipping them in the sauce). So, I had to make sure I was tasting what I thought I was tasting so I had another one, and another one. The next thing I knew…I ate them all. Since we still were not home, I decided to break a little piece of the red velvet waffle and dip it in the cream cheese icing and my eyes rolled into the back of my head (yummy)! It was so good that by the time I made it home I ate all the wing and half the waffle. I made up in my mind right there that I need to go sit down and dine in at the restaurant because it was too good to eat in a car. I definitely plan to return...
