Choosing this particular level of hotel for the first time, I didn't have high expectations of perfection. However, the experience turned out to be quite shocking. Upon entering the room, it appeared clean and spacious, but a strong smell permeated the air. Initially, we decided not to complain, assuming it was to be expected from a hotel of this caliber. After a day and a half, we discovered that the odor was caused by a substantial amount of mold inside the air conditioner. I have attached pictures below to illustrate the issue. We promptly informed the front desk, where we encountered the same gentleman other reviewers had mentioned. Upon mentioning the mold, his response was rather dismissive. "Mold? Did you open the air conditioner?" he questioned. I replied, "I didn't need to open it to see the mold. I hope you can do something about this." When we returned to the hotel in the evening, I asked if there was anything done. He said somebody would do something the next morning. That was our check-out time. When we returned to our room, we discovered that our room key card no longer granted us access to our room. It was my son who quickly realized that the front desk had deactivated our card when he noticed that gentleman making adjustments on the computer. Seeking an explanation, I went downstairs to inquire about the issue. The receptionist nonchalantly replied that it was normal and simply required reactivation. I couldn't help but notice the unmistakable satisfaction on his face, resembling a victory smile. The next morning, as I headed downstairs for breakfast, I returned to find that my card once again failed to unlock the door. It was clear that the receptionist had deactivated it once more. Throughout our three-day stay, the card had been functioning perfectly fine, and it was the only aspect I had no complaints about. However, right after we reported the mold issue, the card mysteriously ceased to work—coincidentally accompanied by the receptionist's smug grin.

First time I’ve traveled to Benchmark CEM in Huntsville, Alabama. I booked this Inn which is quite close to the plant (1.5mile) and walking distance to all restaurants, especially Juicy Seafood which is a must eat restaurant. Sleep Inn is not very far from the airport either, 15 minutes if there’s no traffic, and not much congestion in Huntsville LOL. The weather was hot and humid therefore the grass everywhere is so green, beautiful. The people at the front desk are extremely helpful and pleasant even at night. The place is so clean and the room is huge for the price under $120. The elevator is big, not small like some other Inn. It even has a work out room, but I didn’t have time to try. The room gets cleaned daily regardless if you ask for or not. Hair dryer, shampoo, soap, lotion, and the towels are actually better than some hotels like Marriott, Hilton, nice pattern and thick. There is everything in the room, microwave and refrigerator, the AC is working perfectly with the temperature setting. The design of the shower is great, no door needed and the pressure is perfect every time. The bed is supportive and plenty of soft pillows with the tv full of watchable channels from DirectTV. I even get to watch the Olympic from other networks. Breakfast is nice, although there’s no scrambled or Sunny side up or boiled eggs, but the pieces of eggs, sausages, bread and juices do it for me every morning. This is the best Inn I’ve been to and will come here again if I have to travel to Huntsville, Alabama.

Very affordable, clean, and located near the university and Space Center. The beds were reasonably comfortable. The room had a mini-fridge, microwave. We woke up for the complimentary breakfast at 6 a m. on Thanksgiving and it wasn't available. The clerk at the desk said none would be served (and no housekeeping either) because of the holiday. There was nothing mentioned about that when we reserved the room or when we checked in and no signs were posted in the dining area about the holiday changes. We dined at the Denny's nearby (which was very good). Later, after we returned, we saw people eating in the dining area, so we are not sure what happened. We did enjoy the complimentary breakfast the next morning and it was delicious. Note: there is no access into the building except through the front door. The other exterior doors are exit only.

I have a lot to say about this place, and everything is good about it! Staff was great. I'm pretty sure the gentlemen who checked us in proceeded by the name of Patrick. You can tell he had tons of experience. He was very professional. He checked us into room 411. He told us that he has visited room 411 a bit of times. Everything he said about it was great, and he wasn't lying. Our room was right off of the elevator, which is convenient. I'm pretty sure Patrick has worked here for years, because he knew about everything. Everything he told us is all true. Our room was very clean. The pictures make the hotel look kind of outdated, but if you look at them in person they're not really outdated. We had 1 king bed and a sofa bed. The bed was very comfortable, as well as the sofa bed. The hotel uses Direct TV, and it's very quality, especially for a hotel. Hotel room comes with a coffee maker and it makes good coffee. There were two phones in our room, and they both worked. Our room also came with a little closet, which is very helpful if you're staying for about 30 days. Shower is very spacious in bathroom. Bathroom had pretty good size sink. Water pressure was amazing! Water heats up very quickly. The hotel has convenient amenities outside of your room. I'm pretty sure on the first floor there is a vending machine, as well as laundry and ice. The 3rd floor also had laundry and ice. I used the gym some, it is a pretty good area. The breakfast area is spacious. There was breakfast. They didn't have a full meal due to the virus. They still served waffles, cereal, muffins, yogurt, fruit, coffee, juice & a little more. I read threw a lot 1 star reviews and I think the people putting one star reviews are probably just having a bad day. Anyways, the location was great! Tons of shopping, a couple ballparks, and a lot of restaurants close by. We ate at some of the places near, and they were all amazing! I really think you should stay here, it was just the best! Thank you Sleep Inn & Suites Huntsville Near U.S. Space & Rocket Center for serving my family! We will see you...

I have been a Choice Privileges Rewards member for the better part of 20 years and for the first 15 of those years, I was a very happy member. Then over the last 5-years or so, I have noticed that the quality of service and cleanliness has declined considerably. This sadly is the case at this Sleep Inn. I made my reservation online using the Choice Website. In the Past when arriving at the Hotel I was greeted and recognized as a Choice Privileges Member. This time as I walked in the door, the only greeting I received was a very curt “reservation?” When I replied yes, the only thing I got was “Last name and Credit Card.” Nothing else was said until the employee pushed the check-in sheet toward me, and said again very curt, “3-initials and a signature.” He then pushed the key across the counter without any further conversation. For the most part the room was clean and well attended except for the water filled plastic bag that was left in the Ice Bucket from the previous guest. I used my own personal small cooler rather than have any further interaction with the desk clerk. Before I made my reservation at this hotel, I read the reviews on both the Choice Website and on Trip Adviser. One of the reviews mentions a problem with the Internet Security Certificate being expired. That review was several months old, and I felt sure the problem would have been resolved. I was wrong. When I attempted to sign on to the network, I received the same message as the previous reviewer. I did inquire about the security issue with the curt desk clerk, who gave me the same excuse as the previous reviewer. “There is no problem, it has to be that way for public access.” The wi-fi for this hotel is a hacker dream and I chose not to use it. I found the Breakfast area to be well attended and well stocked throughout the advertised period. Not all employees at this hotel are rude and curt. The morning desk clerk greeted me cheerfully when I was checking out. Bottom line my experience at this Sleep Inn was sub-par to say the least and I would Not...
