My family and I have always loved Texas Roadhouse but the Huntsville location is TERRIBLE. Yesterday I spent over $45 on a to go order that included a chicken fried chicken. After eating almost half of it and cutting into the "thicker" side of the meat i noticed it was NOT COOKED ALL THE WAY THROUGH. I immediately lost my apppetitie and was disgusted that i had even ate the thinner side of the meat that looked "cooked". I called them and complained and asked for a refund and they asked me for proof that it was pink which I gladly supplied them with through a text message. The original girl that answered the phone apologized for my inconvenience and told me she would get a manager on the phone for me. The manager who's name I believe was Kate but I'm not 100% sure answers the phone and asks "how can i help you" after i clearly already told the first girl what the problem was. The manager proceeds to get all of my order info and states "I'll will issue you a partial refund before i leave for the night" and hangs up the phone. No apology from the manager. No offer to make up for their mistake other than a partial refund. At this point after eating almost half half cooked chicken fried chicken, i did not have an appetite to eat the appetizer of rattlesnake bites i ordered NOR did i finish the loaded sweet potato or green beans that i ordered as sides because i was absolutely disgusted after seeing pink chicken. I feel as though they could have at least refunded me for the WHOLE chicken fried chicken and my two side OR even offered to give me the appetizer for free since none of it was eating due to me being absolutely disgusted that i had eaten a half cooked chicken. Now im just praying i don't end up with food poisoning. I will probably never come back to the Huntsville location. I have NEVER had any issues like this anywhere else. And this is not the first issue I've had with the Huntsville location, this was just the last straw.
In December i took my mom out for her birthday and she ordered a well done steak, what she got was a pink steak with blood coming out of it when she cut it. She nicely told the waitress and the waitress offered to remake it but my mom had already lost her appetite and told the waitress that she did not want the meal anymore.
The very last time i went there before today was at the beginning of January. I ordered the blue island cooler drink and got an island kicker which is supposed to be something sweet. When i took the shot it was tequila, not the sweet island kicker that i normally get at any other location. It's a lot of seemingly small mistakes that could easily be fixed but at this point im wondering if their staff is even trained correctly. The manager needs more training and so does the kitchen staff in my opinion. If i ever come back to Tx Roadhouse, it won't be the Huntsville location.
Oh and in the email i received regarding my partial refund, they stated "unsatisfied customer: did not like CFC" what they should have put was "uncooked cfc"...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām not here to bash the place or the people in it, but I do feel the need to speak honestly about the experience I had. Servers ā Some of the servers are truly amazing, and Iāve seen that firsthand over the months Iāve been coming to Roadhouse since it opened. However, Iāve also witnessed how poorly theyāre treated by management. Thereās a clear pattern of miscommunication and disrespect. On one occasion, I overheard a manager refer to a server as a ādumbass.ā Thatās completely unprofessional. Another time, the so-called āBoss,ā Anthony, came to our table and told us our server has ābad attitudes.ā Speaking down on your staff in front of customers is not just unprofessionalāitās unacceptable. Your staff are the ones holding the place together; you need them more than they need you. The Food ā Like any restaurant, there have been good days and bad ones. But lately, the bad days have been consistent. The Huntsville location was a great addition, especially for those of us who didnāt want to drive all the way to Conroe. It was convenient and saved time and gas. But now I find myself questioning if itās even worth it. I never know if the food is going to be overcooked, undercooked, cold, or just bland. My steak often comes out lukewarm. The drinkware? Hit or miss. Iāve had to send drinks back multiple timesālipstick on the glass, food on the rim, white particles floating in my water. The fountain drinks usually taste off, like the machine isnāt working properly. PSA: ask for your drink in a to-go cupāyouāre better off. Cleanliness ā The bathrooms are often filthy and clearly not maintained throughout the day. On top of that, Iāve seen dirty plates and glasses left sitting on top of the computer station, and some servers walking around with their hair down and looseāright next to or over food. These are basic hygiene standards that shouldnāt be ignored in any restaurant. There definitely needs to be some changes in management. Things started off on the right foot when the place first opened, but somewhere along the way, it all shifted. In my opinion, it seems like certain people started smelling their own underwear instead of focusing on actually running the business right. -...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWeāve been waiting for this location to open as weāre new to the area and this is just a few minutes from work - so perfect for a dinner I donāt have to cook on the way home. We reserved a seat online and arrived right around 5 and were seated quickly. The layout was new to me, and different from all previous locations Iāve been to. There were two waiting areas, one inside and one outside. The walkways are wide and there appears to be considerably more seating to older style locations. We were given bread when we were seated and given more bread without requesting within 10 minutes of sitting down! There was a bag of peanuts one the table which isnāt exactly the same the as the large free serve peanut barrel they used to have but still a very pleasant surprise. Our drinks will refilled regularly, the sweet tea was a solid 4.8/5. We started with the rattlesnake bites which were perfect - lightly breaded, cheddar cheese and pepper filling, not too spicy, yummy and perfect portion for sharing. We had a cesar and house salad. The cesar salad was fresh, but the dressing was a bit off. Iām not sure if there wasnāt enough dressing or if the mix was off, but I couldnāt really taste the dressing. My husband enjoyed the italian dressing on his house salad. He ordered the bone in ribeye with steak fries and it was cooked to order and well seasoned. We havenāt been to a Texas Roadhouse in a while because they tend to overcook my steak - not the case at this location! My steak was cooked medium rare to order and was delicious. Very pleased. The sweet potato was a bit off, not sure if it was the toppings on the side but there wasnāt much cinnamon sauce and that mightāve been it. I donāt need much lol but I sure do like it. Overall, the service was exceptional, the food was great, the restaurant was clean and everyone was putting their best foot forward. Literally nothing to complain about which was very impressive for a newly opened location. We are excited to know that that we have a convenient location that can put out a meal we...
