Hartz Chicken Buffet #202 — Restaurant in Huntsville

I really hate to write a bad review, my family and I actually loved Hartz chicken and have been eating there at least once a week since the location in Huntsville opened. However, last week my family was threatened and insulted while trying to enjoy their meal. My mother has a serious medical conditions and has to visit the Huntsville 1 to 2 times a week to visit her doctors, she is normally joined by my father and my 20 months old son, who loves Hartz. On arrival to the Hartz restaurant my mother paid for herself, she let the cashier know my son was 20 months old, the cashier let her know that my son was free because he is under 2 years old, at which time my father let the cashier know that he would NOT be eating because he had been have some problems with his digestion, however he would be helping my son feed himself. The cashier said that was fine, as I said before my parents go to this location at least once a week. My parents sit do as usual my mom is eating and my Dad is assisting my 20 month old son. Before giving my son a bite of food, that was too hot for a small child, my Dad put to his mouth to cool it down a bit. At this time one of the work who were refilling the steam table, and monitoring the dining area seen him doing this and instantly reported back to another employee that my Dad was eating and he did not pay to eat. At which time my family was approached by two employees that told them they had to pay or leave. My father told him he was not eat just cooling my sons food so he could eat, my father offered to pay for my son because he is a big eater, he is 30 pounds, and they processed to tell him that he was lying and that they have him on video eating. My father to them to watch their video because he was not eating. They then became tell my family that they must leave because they did not pay, this is all going on in the middle of the dining area of the restaurant, my parents where then told the police would be called if they did not leave. My parents are both, elderly my mom has had two strokes and can barely walk, at this point she was so upset she was having trouble breathing. My father told them they were more than welcome to call the police and have the police review the video tape to prove his innocence. At which time my parents decided that they should leave and eat somewhere else. I'm sure it goes without says that my family will never return to Hartz Chicken again. I think it would be wise to employ people with respect and who understand true customer service, people who understand before make accusations and threatening an elderly couple and their 20 month old grandson the right move would be to first view the video tape, gather all necessary evidence, and call local law enforcement to handle the situation and not to embarrass, and threaten customers in the middle of a dining area in front of...

I really like to eat here. It's always consistently good quality and value. Restsraunt is kept clean too. But...tonight as soon as we walked in, this guy behind the counter says "we close in 20 minutes." He informs us as we are barely in the door. I looked at him and said "I can eat in 20 minutes." It struck me as rude. Anyway we make our plates and this guy brings out a huge pan of chicken strips. My husband and i were eating and noticed two very large black women loading up some to go plates. I went back to the buffet to get another couple of chicken strips...GONE! Every one of them. Lol. Like I couldn't really fathom how those two ladies cleaned out the whole pan of chicken. Then I realized they must've had that pan cooked for them to take home, because it became apparent that they knew someone who worked there. They tried to get out without paying, the poor lady at the register looked uncomfortable as she had to finagle the money out of the two women. I don't know if they actually paid or not, but I am pretty sure they didn't pay the correct amount. As we left the two women were still there like they were waiting for someone. Probably whoever they knew that was working behind the counter. Anyway the whole thing irritated me. Not because I didn't get enough to eat...I did. I left satisfied and full. But I have been a manager in a fast casual restaurant for 6 yrs and I felt like there was no "manager" - to speak of anyway - on duty. So I'm leaving this review to let someone know that they are loosing money at night. If someone came in my restaurant 20 min before closing I wouldn't want my employees greeting customers like I was greeted. At least say hello first. And don't let free loading obese people come in and take every last chicken strip that paying customers might enjoy. (I swear there was at least 40 strips...

After much thought , I am going to write a review that I have been holding for at least a year. I enjoy the food, HOWEVER, I know, not feel, but I know that the young Asian man that never smiles is watching me EVERYTIME I visit. He has even approached me to accuse me of stealing food from the buffet. About twice a month, I work in Huntsville and on my way back home, I make a point to stop in and either get a buffet to go or eat there. So on this particular occasion, I was with my 2 sisters and and 1 wanted a sit down buffet while my 2 sisters (ONE WHO IS IN A WHEELCHAIR WITH NO LEGS FROM BIRTH) wanted TO GO Buffet. So I went to fix my food ( the in house buffett) then I fixed her food in the 2 go carton. she was waiting on fresh fish, so I started eating my IN HOUSE BUFFETT items that I PREPAID for. Within seconds the Asian guy comes to the table and says, that YOU CANT DO THAT, I said Do what, he said I cant eat of the buffet if I get a to go, I explained that I had an in house and showed my receipt and she had a to go and as a matter of fact, I was eating on the tray given to me for the in house buffet and her to go box was closed. He mumbled and walked off. so for about a year, I still went back and EVERY SINGLE TIME I come to the restaurant, I go in and I dont see him, but the MINUTE I go to the buffet, he pops up and then he just lurks around. he has even taken my to go container out of the hand of the one young lady as if to DOUBLE CHECK the weight. HE IS true butt head and doesnt smile. I BELIEVE THE OTHER YOUNG LADY THAT HE ACCUSED HER ELDERLY FAMILY OF EATING OFF THE BUFFET. It is very uncomfortablem but I looooove the food. I think I will just drive to a different location in HOUSTON before I ever go back . its unfortunate because the staff is...
