Maybe I'm the crazy one.
As a person who also works at a restaurant if someone tells me they just want "this, this, & this" on a food item, common sense would say...OK so evreything off but these three things.
And if I'm unsure about it, It doesn't hurt to specify or repeat the order that was given to me.
I went through the drive thru today (Sep 15, 2024) and I specifically said I just wanted a bacon and cheese sandwich. Nothing else just bacon and cheese. The lady asked on what bread and I said the crossiant. Along with the Mango Pineapple lemonade
So I get the food. And find out there's eggs on it. The person whom this is for is allergic to eggs. So I come back around to ask if I could get it remade
The lady says "You didn't say 'no eggs' " And maybe I'm just hearing things..but i feel like she said it in this annoyed tone..like I was in the wrong. I just drove off saying "It's fine".
She's right I did not say "no eggs" in fact eggs wasn't even in my sentence I didn't say "bacon, eggs, and cheese" I just said "bacon and cheese". I'd never thought that just saying only a bacon and cheese sandwich would include eggs.
But again maybe I'm in the wrong because I needed to be more specific with this particular person. I try to see it both ways. However, at the end of the day, all I said was "Just a bacon & cheese sandwich" That's it. So (for those who work in food) if you are unsure & you feel the need to ask a person if they only wanted certain items they listed, do it. It doesn't hurt. Ask away.
Anyways, as for the sandwich, I have to give it to someone who isn't allergic and likes eggs. The lemonade was good according to the person and I'm giving this a two because the nice lady at the register was really kind...
Read moreTo even place an order took way longer than it should have. We were in the drive through with only 2 cars in front of us for 30 minutes. The cashier (Dustin?) apparently left his station in the drive through and no one knew what our order was or could take our payment. The lady explained using several expletives that he was in the bathroom with "stomach issues" another employee said he had diarrhea and they couldn't take our payment or see our order bc they needed his fingerprint on the machine. After probably 5-7 minutes they asked me to come inside, re-order on another machine and pay. At this point I had already ordered, re-ordered at the window and gotten my food. Finally Dustin returned from the bathroom and took my card payment, then when I got my card back and receipt, slammed the window in my face.
I'm 43 years old and was with my family of 6. We frequent fast food restaurants a lot. This was, without a doubt, the worst, most unprofessional experience I've ever had at any food establishment anywhere, ever. We will never be back. Ever. Every person in that place from the franchisee to the line cook should be terminated and not rehired until they go through training. I'm embarrassed for Wendy's. Dave Thomas must be rolling...
Read moreWent in today and ordered the chicken ranch wrap. The chicken was dry and the lettuce had an off flavor. It was a new item on the menu, so I chalked it up to bad luck.
I was still nearby this location, so within 30 minutes of my original order I went through the drive thru again and asked "Hey my wrap wasn't good, could I swap it out for something else like a chicken sandwich?" I handed them the food bag with the wrap still in it, only a couple bites taken out of it, and my receipt.
I'm given a confused look by the young woman working the drive thru, who takes the bag and the receipt back. A few moments later a man comes to the window and tells me he had "just made it" and I explain that it still tasted off. Before I can finish my sentence I'm told to pull forward to wait, which I do.
Then I wait 15-20 minutes. Not technically a long time, but a long time to wait for just a chicken sandwich while you watch car after car behind you getting served quickly.
Eventually it is brought out to me by the same man, who was already turned around walking away before I could finish saying "Thanks."
Anyways here is the chicken sandwich they decided to replace the wrap with. It looks like they cut of parts of it to...
