Overall, some good and some bad aspects. My biggest complaint is that the store is too big for the ratio of how fast/frequent they turn the items over. It will require 3-4 hours to comb this giant store each time you go and this store turns over their items 100% every 7-10 days. Unless you live in the store (!), it is impossible to get to everything. I wish they would slow down their turn over, or maybe focus on different sections every week, staggering turn over, or something. Many items just don't get a look, a try on, a chance, etc before being booted right back out again. 2) They like to randomly engage in "perceived premium pricing", whereby a worn out, garrish garment with a brand name gets 25% higher pricing, and a brand-new, with tags item, current styling gets the normal pricing. And....the same brand and type of item can be 25% higher or normal priced based on who priced it that day bc they "perceived" a higher pricing value than somebody else with apples to apples garments. 3) Staff are hard to find but are usually helpful, patient and kind (Tammy is the most kind I have met). 4) The store could work on organization in SOME areas....specifically the coats, outwear, pjs and plus sections. But, other areas are organized, well maintained and clean. 5) For months now, half the dressing rooms have been closed off, meaning only 3 dressing rooms for the whole store and that means long wait times. 6) One particular manager likes to use the store announcement intercom as her own personal walkie-talkie to employees and it is constant overhead chirping with commands, requests, etc. It can be quite annoying. 7) Alot of times, a gentle request will yield an even better deal than the...
Read moreWent in there on Saturday January 16, 2021 at around 6 p.m. One announcement was made regarding face coverings being under the nose and not keeping social distance (It was not towards us because we had them correctly and we actually kept our distance) A while later we decided to leave because we were done shopping. When we were in the checkout line another announcement was made regarding the same 2 previous reasons. However when the lady saying them turned around guess what???? Her face covering was under her nose! What a great example! Also, my 2 1/2 was crying and this same announcement lady approached her (NOT KEEPING HER DISTANCE WITH MY 2 1/2 YR OLD). She kept trying to talk to my daughter and my daughter was just not feeling it. She intimidated her so much & started crying even louder and hid behind my husband. If a child doesn't want to talk or cooperate there is no need to keep insisting. She was very unprofessional and it made all of goodwill industries look unprofessional as well. Last time I go thrift shopping. I rather pay full price than to go through people like her. Not to mention she was acting like a little girl and playing with another cashier who had purple hair. I get that some people are not following sanitary guidelines but the moment she got close to my daughter she isn't either. She really should be fired. And goodwill please hire kind &...
Read moreI was defrauded by Kara the manager during my bagged jewelry purchase. After speaking with her about available items, I was asked to return in a few days, which I did. They had set aside the jewelry as promised.
However, there were two major issues with this purchase:
1.) The Unexpected Price Jump: Based on a previous $40 bagged jewelry item, I expected comparable pricing. The $100 price tag was significantly higher than anticipated with no clear explanation for the price difference. I requested it so I just paid for it.
2.) However, what was most concerning was the condition of the jewelry I received. The $100 bag contained items that were dirty with visible debris throughout, which didn't help and ruined it. For a premium-priced product, receiving jewelry in such poor condition was completely unacceptable.
The quality did not match the price point at all. I felt misled about what I was purchasing. A $100 jewelry bag should contain clean, presentable items...not dirty pieces that appear to have been poorly handled or stored. I like Good Will for what it represent and proudly support but this was a terrible...
