Moe’s Gyro (Gyros and Wings) — Restaurant in Hurst

Decided to come here to celebrate our "night in together" on Yelp! Been driving by here for months and have been wanting to stop by, and I am so glad that I did. Moe's is at the end of a long strip mall at the corner of Precinct and Pipleline roads. I called in my order as the only online options was for catering. The gentleman on the other line was nice and told me that my order would be ready in around 15 minutes. It was actually ready quicker than that and when I entered their store I was warmly greeted by the same gentleman behind the counter. He was finishing up with my falafel platter order with a side of tabouli and a Greek Salad. My total order came to less than $10 and it gave me two meals!

I see why Moe's has so many positive reviews--their food is simple and delicious! And they give you just the right amount! I definitely want to come back and try more! Definitely a place to check out while we are...

I ordered a gyro. Refused to put grilled onions on it. Fine, whatever. Just give me a gyro with no onions. He did. Sat down to eat after waiting about 7 minutes. Gyro was extremely small. Tasted one piece of meat. I gagged. The meat is rancid. I walked back to the counter and told them I wanted a refund because the meat was nasty. He argued with me that the meat was fine and I should go eat at a franchise restaurant instead. I told him that the sandwich was not worth $6. He argued that it was. I asked for a refund. He said no because nothing was wrong with the food. He said it is a family business. So what?? I left the food on the counter and called the nonemergency police. Cops came and told me that a lot of people call them for this place. He still refused to give me my money back. Soooo, since moving to Texas over 2 years ago, it's really been hard finding good cooked hot wings, considering I'm from Memphis. My friend was scrolling through Door Dash and said, "Let's try this Moe's Gyro place it's not far. I was like, okay. I ordered a 10 piece lemo peppa (I know it's pepper) extra crispy. I was so happy and pleased at how they looked and smelled, I didn't take a pic. I was like a kid in a candy store, I was happy. They were cooked to perfection. Just the right amount of seasoning.
